Bubbles drift upward
in unending stream--
each one a promise,
then a shattered dream:
ethereal phantom
that longs to take form
but when you grasp it,
it's gone and you mourn.

Author Notes

Daydreaming is a fantasy a person has while awake and not usually connected to the immediate situation. It is sometimes looked upon negatively in a society that emphasizes productivity but it can also be an enjoyable and cost efficient way to relax--a mini vacation from tension, if you will

The embodiment of this poem is ethereal, I love it, as you write every word shakes in me. I can feel the rythmn of it's sound, the prose was timely and real. I wish I could convey such power as you in each of my poetic imagery and sentences. I have worked for years on my poetry and it is still along ways from being this.
