We met!

                  WE MET

When springtime came around again
snowdrops peeped up to say, 'hello'.
Soft and tender breeze tells us that summer
                will soon be here.
A night under the Texas sunset is what
              all lovers dream about.
A pout a giggle, a flirt with coyboys ~ no doubt!

Silken sheets 'gainst tanned, moistened bodies
                 toned in relative parts.
Fluffed up pillows relate a promise of intrigue
               and romance in the offing.
Boy meets girl ~ inhibitions were put on hold
                          if truth be told!

Fear nothing, expect much .....
from each and every tender touch
that starts teasingly from finger tips
to the meeting of hungry, passionate lips.

Toes through hot wet sands, on great expanse.
That night you claimed every dance >>>
       around the barndance floor ...
with never a second glance on anyone but
            the gal that you adore.

Clandestine this relationship might be
Memories are there for everyone to see!

Author Notes

Family and friends who live in Texas are in awe of the country that they adore. Have never travelled there but westerns have given a 'peek' into life under the rising sun.

Ride 'Em, Cowboy
Hungry, passionate, lips? Clandestine relationships? And I thought all cowboys rode were bulls and broncos.

Oh John: there's a chuckle there! Gently does it now! That  cow girl liked to be wooed and 'broken in' gently! Hehe! First smile for the morning. Thanks!

I enjoyed this one - A real zip and spark about it. I felt some really good imagery flowing through here, and it certainly felt like a poem that has life and character to it. Very well put together. Thanks for a good read.

Thank you my friend for this heart warming review. I enjoyed writing this one.
