To kipper bye
to kipper bye
you’ll hear the sandman call
sweet song for sleepy angels
wrapped safe in heaven’s shawl

To kipper bye
to kipper bye
the clocks are ticking slow
while moon and stars both smoulder
and lamps are burning low

To kipper bye
on rolling wave where dolphins glide
beneath the seagull's cry
and dreamers dream we'll meet again
all in kipper bye

Pretty, soothing, and full of the cuteness and imagination that kids love, and make adults dream of being kids again : )

I was not...
at all familiar with the term "kipper bye" so I looked it up on Google. Obviously it's much like someone in the US would say "beddy bye". A very sweet and gentle poem
that having grandchildren I truly enjoyed. Kudos to you Sir for showing how loving and tender a man can be. And for helping to dispel the myth that we are all and always hardcore and macho. This is a definite spotlight!
