Moments Of Happiness

The minstrel walked along
warmed by the early morning's light.

Last night's chill was gone from his bones
as he ambled on resolutely.

He did get tired of traveling at times
but today he felt really good.

Whole, happy and invigorated
by the deep love he felt for others.

He was much like a social worker
who carried a lute.

His songs brought people joy
and a release from life's pain.

And as he went from town to town
the townsfolk enjoyed what he did.

They lauded him with food, drink and shelter
as well as also giving him their praise.

In turn the bard brought them
precious moments of happiness!

Author Notes

While in the library I asked a friend for three words. He gave me love, light and happiness. And from those words came another poem with my favorite character. I hope you enjoyed reading it!

Nice poem. I enjoyed reading it. The minstrel is a common theme in your writing. It is a very good imagery
