Could be an early Farewell

                                             Could be an early farewell
They say that patience is a virtue, I'm afraid I'm running out of time
For a couple of years I've enjoyed myself sharing rhythm and rhyme
Writers from around the world have become a collection of friends
Unfortunately because of  the WN this is where the friendship ends.

I've had to change my e-mail address; to which WN will not respond
I am losing contact with a lot of my friends many from across the pond
I am missing a plethora of newly written work and failing to review
I have contacted WN to help me and they reply "We'll get back to you"

I suppose all things must come to an end. I hope this is not on the list
During my time with the WN I've made friends who will be sadly missed
I will  try to get Writers Network to help but if this once again fails
I will ditch my computer into the bin and to hell with the use of e-mails.

Rod Broomham. (c)

Author Notes

I am really losing patience over, what to me,  should be an easy procedure but no matter how many times I ask WN, nothing happens.

Rod, you know, of course, that all of us hope a remedy will be found. Unfortunately, they pay no more attention to protests from us than they have from you. Hang in there as long as you can. What would I/we do without you.

If I was asking for something extremely complicated or even difficult I would understand the WN's attitude but just to change an e-mail address seems simple. I will stick with you all as long s I can as I have really enjoyed my time here but this business of trying to grope through my old computer files to find out if there has been any contacts is off the planet. I actually forwarded this piece to them yesterday hoping it might open their eyes, No chance I daresay. thanks for your kind words Richard and I will try to adopt a more patient attitude myself.   Take care.   Rod.

I reckon that technology has been my worst enemy John. The youngsters might find it a blessing, or even their way of life, but I'm afraid it arrived too late to help me!! I'll hang in with WN for a little longer but things are becoming too much of a headache for me. thanks for reading,    Rod.

This is really a shame
that you are having problems with the authors of such a wonderful site as this. You shall be missed, as much as any great writer. I am not saying that I am great, but I may be next on the list.

Not sure that "shame" is the right word but I am surprised that WN can't change my e-mail, as I stated in my posting I am losing contact with many friends and if they just switched my e-mail everything would return to normal. I'll hang in a little longer and see what happens.  thanks for your review and comments.  Take care... Rod.

do not know the reasons, but I sure as hell it would stop. BIG Spotlight!

Thank you so much for the BIG spotlight, shame we couldn't shine it into the eyes of the WN staff and draw their attention to the problem. Seems such a simple request but all they say is "We will get back to you" and nothing happens. At least it prompted my posting Pity they don't read our work then they might pay it some attention.   Take care   Rod.
