The Forgotten Student

I hear the crowd cheering
Deafening claps surrounded the place
I have played the music of my life
Amidst the crowd I look for the face
Of my inspiration, my mentor, my friend
As I saw him on his own chair
Giving me one great applause
I then took my final bow
As I descended from the stage
People crowded, congratulating this artist
Thankful, I shook many of their hands
BuT one hnd I longed to touch
The hand of my inspiration, my mentor, my friend
As I approached him tears slowly fill my eyes
His shaking hands reached for mine
And with trembling voice he muttered
"That was a beautiful sound a music to my ears."
I wish I could tell him that it's the music of our lives
The music he taught to this young fine man
But that will only remain forever in my heart
For the many years of his life has already played his mind
And his memories of me forever washed Registered & Protected
