No More Tribulations 
|
No More Tribulations
How long should we just stand here?
Knowing what should really be done.
Can we just sit and watch the sky fall,
As is the custom of some?
Can we come to some sort of conclusion,
That supports the events at hand?
There’s certainties abounding here,
And afraid you just don’t understand.
If I tried to explain them all
I’d just be repeating myself again.
What if you’d just listened the first or tenth time?
You’re supposed to be my greatest friend.
I’m not going to be hung on that cross,
Not this time or even ever after this.
You know everything about my heart soul and mind
So why can’t we do what you promised and live in bliss?
Our circumstances are different from others
This has always been a proven state.
So I won’t believe I’m caught anymore
I just won’t take that bait.
You set the rules from the beginning
And I told you of my stipulations
Now you must live in the bed you’ve made
And I will suffer no more tribulations
