Evil Anchor

Evil Anchor

To every promise you ever made:
‘Lemonade, stirred with a spade,
By an old maid in the shade’
Now I’m seeing red
Now I’m seeing red
“From the past unto completion,
I will turn away no more.”
At least that’s what I thought you said.
Everything around here now,
Is going, going, and gone dead.
Your promises meant nothing then,
And much less even now.
I was just an in between girl,
That lasted too long anyhow.

Sex can be an evil anchor,
That just won’t be
Brought up from the sea.
Sometimes you need more hands on deck;
There was only you and me.
