out of the ashes

In the house of my master beyond the chains there is a bed .
of snakes where evil lays Oh, I hear laughter I forged the iron bars that someday will imprison me ooh mother will you help me mother will you help me to find a reason to go on out of the
ashes of my youth - I raise a man and through the eyes of truth
- I finally understand the way I've been beaten with his words
and whipped with his lies he will not break me down no matter
how hard he tries pray for my lost soul out of control the storm
inside me rages on and on and on mother will you help me
mother will you help to find a reason to go on ooh out of the
ashes of my youth - I raise a man and through the eyes of truth
- I finally understand The way

Very Nice
This is a very nice poem, since it does express such deep emotion. Not sure what the "story" is that prompted this, however, very sure that there is a "story". It seems that it was more or less your right of passage from painful turmoil and turbulance and into a more stable young adulthood. Whether that's it, or not, the peom works well since it prompts such deep thought. Thanks for sharing this. Very good writing.

Very powerful and emotional...almost feels as though you are talking about being verbally/emotionally abused. Hope that is not something you have experienced.

Amazing
So much emotion, without it taking over. It's almost like the emotions are just out of reach. Like the reader can never understand everything, it's not completely there. I'm sure this all is so much stronger when you read it. Amazing poem though. I like it, great job. Keep it up.
