~~a good reason to party

let us put into place a splendid time and date
to express and confess what we appreciate
in one another's character and celebrate!

may not another day slip by and waste
while we watch it go by and simply pass.
that logic goes in the regrettable list of
forgetting to fill the auto with gas.
it makes no sense to live without giving
laughter from your heart. no, i want to
party with happiness being the guest of
honor. love will be the cover charge due.

yes, let's mark a special time and date
every day we live we could celebrate
the confession of love should never wait!

nice, but...
it was a nice poem, but somewhat difficult to read. there wasn't a strict stanza or rhyme scheme, unlike your dragonfly poem. if this piece of work was a little more beaten around the edges, i'm sure it would be something wonderful. it is still good, though.
