our lives were tethered
breath,
taste the air
take the time to care
no matter if it a treat
or torturous
take in life
even in strife
just a little bit
and be conscious of it
do me this favor
sit back and savor
you and me
for the effects of affection
and the perfection
in the detection
of loves selection
and the rhapsody of a collection
memories stored for
an amazing recollection
of our time together
as our lives were tethered
sewn at the hip tight
during every low
and brand new height
dazzling brilliance
blinding light
