Sapient
I’ve seen life almost pass me by, But learned how to laugh, And that it was o.k. to cry. Wondered and supped at so many tables, Of truths, lies and, fables. Trying to find the reasons why, Life is neither complete nor fun, Underneath my personal sun. So I grabbed love by the heals, And made it something real, Made it a thing that reveals, The best in me, When I’m at my worst. And the worst in me at my best. That was my test, you see, Of what true love is for me. And even after all that, That love would still be, Open to the truth of serendipity. Knowing freedom and spontaneity, Seeking and finding it at times with me. And not just that but true liberty, As one, Underneath our personal sun.
