FORGIVENESS I have recently become a student of the Course in Miracles and just read Gary Renard’s book called the Disappearance of the Universe which is quite remarkable. I am speaking about this here because I believe you poets to be healers of sorts and also dreamers. Yes the Universe is a dream as I always believed and when you forgive everyone including yourself you wake up from the dream. In 1997 I published a book in India entitled, MYSTERIES: Ancient & Modern. I have a chapter entitled, “Dreams, the Fabric of the Universe. The real universe of course is with God and the Holy Spirit in heaven. We are all having a dream of separation from God but in reality the separation never really occurred because the dream isn’t real and we never really left. On this site we have the wonderful opportunity to share with each other; how will that sharing manifest? Remember this is no universe out there and it is all projection; all the more reason for the master’s injunction to love your neighbor as yourself. There can be no competition with each other if we are all one being. I love the way each and every one of you express yourselves. My own writing may vary from the banal to the sublime but we are all really having fun. Like I said in my column, “The Sisyphus of Poets”, I cannot make a living writing poetry even though I have two books published; one on Sonnets and another on Villanelles. I also mentioned that I did not do it for the money and Stargazer was gracious enough to agree that poets do not write for money. What is there to forgive…..The whole world.? Just like Nelson Madela forgave those who imprisoned him for over thirty years and Gandhi forgave his oppressors, we must do likewise. If people do not like our poetry, our politics, etc, it shouldn’t matter. There may be someone out there unbeknownst to you who are healed by what you say. It is not up to us to judge. On this plane of duality there is always likes and dislikes. We are free to express ourselves and that is not something the Chinese share on the internet right now. |
