" MOON-MAIDEN "

moon pictures

I've always known that my thoughts to orbit around the earth.
Bombardment of dreams concave.
Dreams that create the day and eyes closed impact the night.
Gravitational attractions moonbeam dreamy heads.

Our gibbious double planet tide as oceans bulge.
As fractured highlands dust and vaporize.
Regions jagged edged blanket and rock.
Moonscapes reflect galactic generations.

Does our bone hold the element's of regolith?
Have we waved the lava channel?
Never a simpleton.
Never a mare to induce.

As we digged deep within the lunar soil we revolved.
We fossilized meteoroid bedrock for many honeymoons.
Ambitious, we cried towards the moon.
Echoing, " he wants the moon between his teeth " { French folkloristics around the 1800's }

Moonflowers fable green cheese.
Moonpies seed structure.
We moon about.
Within our dreams we wander listlessly.

Once in a blue moon a cithara harp was played.
Moonports we witnessed.
Only one emit light stood, Dona of the heavens,
Luna of earth and Hecate of underground, stood one Goddess.

She danced upon the moon.
She swung the crescent.
As I raise my dreamy head I vision her golden chin.
Her voice prints are meek.

The nightly casement sky frame her beauty.
My entropion eyes flutter to her rhythm.
Minions dance around my bed.
Midnight revelers waiting to steal my love within.

Night time thieves we are.
As our dreams amuck on the other side,
the mocking moon appears in the corner of our minds.
On the night of the crescent moon close your eyes and see,
as the moon wanes watch for the beautiful maiden within silvery chariot.

The Moon Maiden's Song by, Ernest Dowson

Sleep! Cast thy canopy
Over this sleeper's brain,
Dim grow his memory,
When he wake again.

Love stays a summer night,
Till lights of morning come;
Then takes her winged flight
Back to her starry home.

Sleep! Yet thy days are mine;
Love's seal is over thee:
Far though my ways from thine,
Dim though thy memory.

Love stays a summer night,
Till lights of morning come;
Then takes her winged flight
Back to her starry home.

It is obvious my friend that you do not just come to your keys and write to be writing. This is beautiful in every way. I especially like your last stanza."Night time thieves we are. As our dreams amuck on the other side, . . . . beautiful. I hope your week is treating you kindly. Lesa

Well yes, I have to do some studying. I search for dominant words, cause I dislike the norm. I try to be masterful on every piece. My mind has a mind of its own, one minute its on a role, next thing you know he takes great, he goes blank. lol Stubborn bastard!! lol I take notes of whatever comes to mind, I have about four pages full of words and sentences, quotes, etc. Just gotta get a subject and put it all together. My love for her is intwined within my poetry, so if things are not so good my poems wont either. Things are good, but still containing reasonable block. I mind is clicking of late so when it breaks is gonna break very hard. Which means, "EPIC" lol Well, I hope!! lol Thanks for the great review, I like that ur doing a little inner thought researching on me, the Author. I like that word, lol Thanks for for everything, ur starting to find the real good ones. Ttyl,,,~Andy

yes, the moon is always the guiding inspiration of most poets, too many a poem has been written, the influence of its beam, its power to create a magnificent scene on every lovers' intimacy, loners, romantic moods, etc. your love is also drawn from the chariots of the moon, you express your love by the beauty of the moon, i sense there is a strong passion here, your love with Dona and how you describe through your words in poem are wonderful and magnificent . Such a labor of love just to blast your emotion in the sparkling skies so the world of lovers can see the beauty of your love. Thumbs up. Cheers!!!!

Rapid Beats!
Ahh, my dear Andrew, I was all prepared for my review until I read your author's notes, "You naughty boy!" lol. Ok, so all joking aside, I am tinkle pink and full of lunar dreams after this amazing escape to your heart. How else could I explain? Your words leave me blessed and the mention of my name took my breath away. If only you could see the smile growing upon my face. My dear poet, you warm my heart, making it melt all at the same time. This is so very beautiful. I feel very fortunate in your poetic stance. Shall we dance upon the lunar moon? Never ending coming all too soon? I shall hold you close and keep you near, for I am nothing without you here. I love you. Thank you for sharing your beauty my dear. Love, Dona SL!

since I didn't have enough points to applaude you more, I thought perhaps this would do..lol.

Untouchable writer
Dear Andy, I'm still only on the opening line and reeling in admiration for the mere collaboration of those words... this is a line to be pondered.

Reading on.

'Our gibbious double plant tide'... where does this language come from? You select only the best, most enhancing words to describe the ordinary. To quote 'The Waterboys' (Irish rock band from the 80')..."You saw the whole of the moon"! You've unearthed its crust and exposed the very fossils of our dreams. Your ladylove is exhonerated here, for to compare her to the infallible atttraction of ladymoon is the highest compliment she could wish for! Your poem takes me to heaven and back, Andy, I feel contentedly inadequate in the wake of your charisma and immeasurable literary talent because I still have so far to go in this journey of creative wrting. Thank you, and of course SL.

Yes, on this wierd planet we tend to be a little unorthodox. Well thats what I try to be in our poetic world. Studying my subjects is very informative. They actually do call the earth and moon one a double plant. I think its just us and Mercury that holds a moon, Mars has two, but they're not moons they're just rock matter in its orbit. And of course the tide created by gravity pull. Pretty common info? And yes, my dear love is my motivation, without her my writing differs, darker the better. I love you creative writing, I hope to hold the class you create. I love that old time feely english, you combined modern/old school style. We do differ, I search, you already hold. But, that goes great both ways. As long as it turns out great, everybodies a winner. Thanks SanEx for another great review. You're gonna make me famous one day!! TY!! ~A*C*

Absolutely breathtaking I love everything about this poem.I also admire the moon You know how they say people act weird around the time of a full moon well they say it has a gravitational attraction to water.And our body is composed of as much as 75 percent water.Coincidence I think not.Your piece is well written and interesting!

Lol, I happened to of come across that info, thats where I found the words " Gravitational attractions " Yes, the moon is one interesting matter. They call our world a "double plant" I think we should dig deeper into the moon dust. Thanks for checking out,,,~A*C*
