Dizain and Haiku (from my archive)

Mind Trips (a Dizain)

Searching my mind
For many solutions
So many to find,
I need truth, no illusions.
For psychological improvement.

I've reached a place in my journey.
Where I need solid foundations.
Void of fear and worry.
I'm growing impatient.
I need a philosophical vacation.

Memories Flecked with Green (A collection of Haiku)

Beautiful valley
Tucked beneath the mountainside,
Emerald tree-lines.

Jade colored forest.
Sparkling dew-kissed branches.
Hazel reflections.

Plethora of green,
Shimmering from the sunlight.
Glory of springtime.

Cottage in the woods,
Exquisite green canopy.
Tucked gently away.

Hills of rolling green.
Wind and curve in such splendor.
Flecked with yellow blooms.

Author Notes

Both of these are from some older stuff I wrote. i really used to experiment with different styles of peotry. i know many people don't want the confines, but it also helps to exercise the mind being forced into those confines. It is all how you look at it. I distinctly remember the day i wrote the Haiku collection. i was looking at this scene in a beautiful northern state. A Dizain uses a rhyme scheme of ababb and cdcdd and it is 10 lines.

I really enjoyed both the dizain and the haiku. I loved the rhyme scheme in the dizain and I think you did it really well as it flowed so nicely and none of it seemed stunted. I also really enjoyed what was being said in it and I thought the last line was great. I liked how the haikus all followed that same theme and it was more like a total poem that some haikus put together. The pictures presented by them was great. These are both great pieces.
