IF i WISHED UPON A STAR. 
|
If I wished upon a star bight and pretty where you are
bet my wishes won't come true
even if I wished on you.
Now I lay me down to weep
holding on to somber sleep
would you whisper my name low
maybe then I maybe wouldn't know
how to catch you when you here,
but never mind it isn't clear.
If I wished upon a star, bright and pretty where you are
bet my wishes won't come true
even if I wished on you.
Now I'm in afar away land, never ending place I am,
now all my wishes I fulfill
even down to the pretty daffodils,
not the Lily's so pure and white, but daffodils
that will seal the night.
When I wished upon a star wondering where you are
now I know a thing or two
and I'm in heaven being good,
but your not by my side, that's understood!
