A Greater Prize

Through the maze
and past the mire
cold as ice
but burns like fire

A strange osmosis
rescues us
from murky waters
full of pus

In the corals
of below
a dead end forms
now - where to go?

You just sense it
now it's time
to steer away
it's not a crime

Remaining here
a static wave
that cannot crash
became a slave

Move on, move forth
advance and live
a day too late
then you won't forgive

Believe in knowledge
in knowing sense
or instead of pounds
you'll be earning pence

but realize
in a world out there
is a greater prize

Enjoyed !
Extremely soothful words.

"Through the maze
and past the mire
cold as ice
but burns like fire"

An opening stanza that hooked and reeled in my interest.

There is always a greater prize out there if you want it. This is what I get from you poem. Hope I'm right.
