LIFE GOES ON 

We are all burned by tragedy
at some point in our lives.
But the brave dress their wounds
And carry on
Like a river filled with salmon
that continually flows
If we show our adversity
the white flag of defeat
we put a dam in this river
halting our journey to the sea.

Life goes on
Because the rain will stop eventually
and there will be a rainbow in the sky

Life goes on
Because there are many beautiful green plants and shrubs
underneath our garden snow
They are not dead
They are just sleeping
Waiting to awakened by spring’s passionate kiss.

Life goes on
The sun keeps shining
If we never surrender
the light will always be there.
glowing in the pocket
of our sorrow

Helpful: Thumbs Up Thumbs Down
I liked the message and feel of this piece very much. I thought you did a very good job with it. I somewhere read a quote, but it is by an unknown. It says, "Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain." Your writing made me think of that. I've lived long enough to know that storms never stop, it's how we respond to them that help us live. thanks for sharing. carmurr
