Come back into my arms, sweet one
Another warm kiss before I leave
A few minutes allowed before my drive
Awake long before the rising sun
Another tense day at the rat race run
That warm kiss has me smiling all the way
Crossing the river, my thoughts are of you
All through the day no matter how grim
At break out comes both paper and pen
Another love poem to you I shall begin
As all the others are passing like seasons
Woman of the river, deep forest and meadow
More beautiful than each passing spring bloom
Warm thoughts of you through any dark cold hours
Blotting out winter’s grey like colorful wildflowers
In the evening back into your sweet arms again
