Sisters and Brothers
Sisters and brothers of the revolution
Cannot be intimidated by political extortionists
Or tempted by the deviance of unreality television
Pathetic pageants and propagandistic police dramas
They will not be vacationing at any upscale tropical resorts
Or at some shining summer palace in the Hamptons
Brothers and sisters of the revolution
Are not separated by race, religion or railroad tracks
Never to be shut out, shooed away, shouted down or shunned
They shall be measured by their contribution, compassion and wisdom
Not by flash of cash, expensive cars, clothes or net worth
Treading not upon red carpets or receiving preferential treatment
Sisters and brothers of the revolution
Each beautiful, ever shining in their own extraordinary way
Never to be pushed back, assaulted or coated with pepper sauce
Like something Adam Richman would scarf down
Carefully listen to them, as for now they protest peacefully
Overcoming and by no means to be underestimated
Brothers and sisters of the revolution
Having new direction, strong hearts and goodwill
Full flowering of humanity, share and share alike
Putting no dollar signs on love, spirituality and good health
Exalting no gluttons, while so many others are hungry
No blood on their hands for the sake of profit
Good sisters and brothers of the revolution
Should they really care about the Whitehouse Christmas tree -
Or first ladies, first families, first dogs, or royal weddings ?
All families of the revolution will be held in the highest esteem
A good enough productive life for each and everyone
Self governed fairly, by the people’s goodwill and trust
