Keep strumming on that same key,
Keep telling all your love for her to me.
It's okay, I'll handle it all.
Once upon a story you should,
Take me for more than a friend who could,
Catch you when you fall.
You send all of your facts straight to the wires,
Destructing all of my heart's fires,
And you'll scream me a call.
As the keyboard keeps making its noise,
You judge all the factors of the boys,
Like you don't care.
I hide my true face in your existence to protect,
All those feelings you choose to neglect,
But life ain't fair.
Can't you just see beneath my skin,
All of the artifacts that prove what's within,
Your coverings all dry and your mind undone,
You see all the things that keep you from having fun,
You keep on the scale to cut the weight,
To possibly try to find your fate,
I'm too late.
If I can't find another who's sweet,
If you can't find another love to meet,
Can we finally speak?
Why don't you just unfold,
The black, icy, little blindfold,
Covering your eyes?
Why don't you check,
All of those things I've said, Heck,
Just take off my disguise.
We both know what is true,
We both know what it is to use,
How I really do....love you.
