***March Ahead***


Everyday is a classic,
Forward and march ahead.
Two steps toward one step back,
Wondering what lies beyond my bed.

It’s hit and misses guys,
Hit and run my friends.
There’s dirt to scratch and eggs to lay,
Secrets to keep and sympathies to send.

Things, a lot of things,
Can get in the way when you’re right.
So I contemplate these freaks of nature,
Most of the day and all thru the night.

I’ve had postal thoughts to be sure,
But I would never do any kind of harm.
That’s against my laws and all that is pure,
I can’t help but wear my heart on my arm.

This rattle is just a bit of me,
Leaking from my gray matter.
Just a little love to love of love,
And lots of chitter chatter…
