Purple Gardens

Purple gardens out my kitchen window
Coffee that ripples in a shaking cup
This mind of mine just won’t let up
Ginger and peppermint along the walk
Fox tail fern and my running pup

Sun coming through my kitchen window
Pink blossoms of the dogwood
Aspens along the forest edge
The pup is still up to no good
Tramping where my rosemary stood

Evening bordering on the night
Pond of lilies, cattails, soothing waterfall
This mind of mine basking in the moonlight
Will this pup ever grow to be a dog
Chasing Jeremiah the back yard frog

This is a lovely poem. It's full of vivid imagrey and reads all about peace. Still, beneath the surface or tranquility I sense some sort of sweet sorrow. The type you get from memories long gone or a deep realization of what you can and can not do in this life.... If that makes any sense lol. I like the first peice I read of your's better but this poem is deffinately worthy of a read.

Picture Perfect
Tony, this is so gorgeous, and being a country girl with a dog of my own, I completely visualise the juvenile mayhem admist the glory of a cottage garden. Simply exquisite, my artful poet.

Very good
Knitnaz, if this is about your own garden I wish it was mine as it sounds really colourful and beautiful.

Hi it is mine in the sense that I enjoy it. It is nature that made it. I travel alot and three months ago I came upon this place. Finding it hard to get back on the road where my writing is inspired and created..Thank you for your time in reading and correspondance....Tony
