for my crown

give me thorns for my crown
and a boulder of a cross
enough blood to flood the ground
enough or not a drop

let me burn in every hell
me in the stead of every soul
let me rot in every jail
and in the depths of every hole

i wanna fall for all who fell
and freeze for all the cold
leave me locked in every cell
please the lonely let me hold

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13 How many of are willing to lay down his life for a friend, least of all a stranger? This poem shows a lot of heartfelt compassion. Well written, I enjoyed reading it . . . keep writing.

This is such a good poem. It speaks to the heart of sacrifice and I get the meaning and the reference to religion. Just subtle enough, without being too obscure. Well done.
