Secrets of my heart 
Secrets of my heart…

Sometimes if a heart is beating it knows is purpose

I seek out the answers of my American heart

To hear a cry from a wolf

Or a cry for help I will help a friend or a poet

It is the right thing to do help out

Sometimes if you have bad dreams

What?!
I have been saying this a lot. A great poet is one who speaks in the same manner in which the common man speaks. If you are going to write a short poem it is critical that your meaning is clear. It is very difficult to accomplish this with those short poems. When a poet does accomplish this he or she is a great poet. I don't think you have enough practice to claim that title. a 'great poet'. you have the potential to become just that. I just think you need a little more work. oh did you mean " sometimes when the heart is beating it knows it's purpose? i dont know. it is your poem
