Faith in Me

Faith in me
This I cannot see
To trust myself
Seems hard for me
Why does it always takes
someone to tell me
that I'm much bigger than
what I think I could be?
Can I see what their eyes see?
Believe what they think I can be
Sure that I can go beyond my limits
But I guess I'm miles away from self esteem
I guess I'm confident when not seen
Able to be at my best silently
I just don't like to be noticed
I'm contented just behind the scene
A simple appreciation
A gentle smile of approval
A burning rejection
A sigh of discontent
All of these I can take
As long as they are thrown
Only at my direction
And not right at my face
And it would be great
If I remain out of sight
Forever invisible from
Scrutinizing eyes
