Pulling at Her Chains
|
Lost in the abyss,
The youth, the innocence.
Taking what we miss,
At the bystanders expense.
No more regret,
For what's unsaid.
She's with you now, I bet,
Sleeping soundly, in your bed.
Slipping into sorrow,
As the youth grows cold.
As life slides downward,
To the bottomless Hell.
She shows her inner coward,
Cannot hide in her shell.
Her ending has come,
Claiming her all.
For the lucky sum,
We get to watch her fall.

Author Notes
Another poem that I'm not sure about. It seems to be a poem about cheating when I read it but I'm not sure. Another poem written on a sleepless night.
