My Review of Another Winter's Morn by TonyD
I really like this. The one thing that detracts (for me) from the visual landscape you've created, is the actual photo of your "Beast" . Instead, letting your words paint the scenes, I see warmth ... early winter ... natural life ... inspiration. I just wonder if the pecking birds "like erratic machines" and mention of "ancestral memory" don't lend themselves to separate paintings ...

My Review of You Had Me At Cliche by Silhouettic
Let the poem read itself, is what I always say. No instructions necessary - it works just fine without rapping like Renee Zelwegger. In fact, I would rework the parts that "flow" ... and just go. Great stuff.

My Review of Reflections.. by Maelona
This could be beautiful if it were not 'wacky humor', but a real sort of ode to your late bro'. If it is actually that ... then (critically speaking) I might add a stanza or two, to give a suggestion of what his "dreadful fate" may have been.

Only "unreadable" because of the CAPS LOCK ... If there can be beauty in hell, you've found it. Don't stop writing and working your way out.

My Review of Suicide by thelyricalqueen
I like the starkness and agony, and especially the last two lines ... although confused about "in my CURRENT situation". I would think that in an 'unfree' LIVING situation, is when Death would seem to be most becoming; not in the "current" state (when the author's already sliced, dripping blood, pilled up and dying). Also thought the title was a little too obvious - maybe could've been less literal. But good stuff, overall.

My Review of Bone of My Being by WakeTheMoon
Great Title, Great Flow
Love the title, first of all, and -- correct if I'm wrong -- its double meaning (*Wink wink, nudge nudge* . Then, "The heart-stopping honor of sharing my
deepest space with one so vastly immeasurable" - I want to tie up my wife and stuff those words into her mouth!! Wonderfully written.

Unique Voice
Desperation well-rendered, my friend. Keep writing and you'll wind up out from under ... You just may have that "chocolate cow" within .

My Review of The Reverence of My Tightness by Meneet
Dig the title, which is what drew me to the piece. But then the piece itself lacked that poetry. Erotica (I think - I'm no expert, though I can bang out a good one every now and then) (...so to speak) should have the grinding rhythm of a "beast with two backs". Yours was (porno)graphic ... but was it 'erotic'?

My Review of Performing Without A Net by vuriz
Interesting
...in a good way. Great concept to have all the "cats" congregate. Would love to hear some dialogue - some repartee exchanged amongst them: what would Mark Twain say to Jack Kerouac, for example? And I'd love to hear Jack gettin' dizzy with Bird. My only complaint is when you mention email, or write about a "shit load"... These modern references / jargon jarringly break the mood.

My Review of One last time. by Maelona
Wow
Very good. It might be interesting to read the 'split screen' version, in the voice of the guy you're going to see ... In other words, hear his version of the Last Time, and maybe go back and forth a bit between your ("your") POV and his? Just a thought.

Haiku-Like (Lazy Ending?)
Although you probably just put your pen down and went outside ... I actually like the unexpected, "whatever" ending.

My Review of NO MORE TO PART by failte
Beautiful
Fantastic. Dare I say, Shakespearean ... ? Not only are they technically "Quattrains", but the emotions come across as well. It's like a guitar or a saxophone solo: there are thousands of musicians who know how to play these instruments - but few who know how to make these instruments 'weep' or 'wail'. Great job.

Pissed Off, Flailing
While I sort of agree (I think) with your overall viewpoint, about rights and privacy in the U.S. being stripped incrementally and irrevocably, I'd be inclined to argue that "Tubular Bells" is crap.

But that's just me .

My Review of My Little Sister by Musiclover
"mad whimsy, yo" :)
Really like this. It's got a Mr. Robinson's Neighborhood / "Kill My Landlord" flow to it ... which makes the overall innocence of the piece, and its almost Dr. Seussical flow, that much more of a delight.

My Review of They've Had A Night by martinos74
Lyrical
I felt this had a song-like quality to it - sure enough, you've got it up on soundcloud. Haven't heard it there, but just wordwise, good stuff. "Humid air and pressure" ... nice line.
