Lots of people try to use form, but you manage to use it tellingly. Thank you Spotlight.

Keep writing
Is all I can say. You have written so acutely out of difficult and painful experience. Continue to be you, and God bless....

As ever, striking
A really good poem. Love the way, as ever, you use form to achieve your ends, probably gaining many ideas in the process. Warmest good wishes. Julian

My Review of Marie Anna by Kassandra
Moving
You always write in such a way that the reader is taken straight to the point, and your skill with verse forms is astonishing in terms of being appropriate for the task... SL: and starkly, beautifully written.

My Review of The Crying Room by SanExpeditus
Truly moving
Papal history fascinates me, and this poem echoes thoughts of mine I think. The thing with Pope Francis that struck me was how like poor Pope John Paul I he was, another smiling Pontiff. Thank you SL

My Review of Tango by SanExpeditus
Astounded.
There is a school of poetry, basically minimalist, which had its greatest popularity in the 1970s and in the anthology THE YOUNG BRITISH POETS edited by Jeremy Robson. This poem would have fitted in there alongside the work of someone like Hugo Williams or the now-obscure Angela Langfield. Spotlight...

My Review of Nearly You by SanExpeditus
Impressive
If ever I need a masterclass on enjambement, I come to you. This is such a good poem I can hardly wait to read it again, your immediacy is always striking and whilst you openly acknowledge those who influence you, your style remains yours and instantly recognisable. Spotlight.

Thank you
There really aren't any words to describe my feelings in relation to this poem. I know that Heaney was really one of the ultimate poets for you, as he was for me, and you have done him proud. We must go on digging. SL

I spotted Muldoon...
But really this is more concise than that, less convoluted. A far clearer poem than any written by the author of QUOOF. SL

My Review of Finding the Road Less Travelled by SanExpeditus
Interesting
This is difficult to do, for not only do you have the echo of Robert Frost, you also have the spectre of M Scott Peck looming in the background. This is a very personal poem and a new departure I think. Interesting....SL

My Review of Sea Sculpture by SanExpeditus
Oh dear...
I read this poem whilst working over the most recent one of mine, and returning to it, find you have written far more lucidly and clearly than I could. I love the way you write, you have so much immediacy and clarity that I can only record my admiration. This is as faultless a piece as you have ever written, and it is unquestionably yours... Remarkable
I wish I had written this - you have such gentleness in the way you write sometimes that it moves me. Yet you do not use this gift sloppily, you are able to objectify the shadow side of personality remarkably. SL
