Your words flow along beautifully , and yes i think the more senior poets among us will relate to this.
The mind often controls the body , but when cracks appear the mind is not always cooperative lol SL

My Review of Where have all the young men gone? by JimSlaughter
War
is too often glorified and of course the young believe all they are told about doing it for duty.
I think we will eventually all be destroyed Jim in this senseless greedy need to have supremacy over others..... how futile it all is SL

My Review of The Needy by JohnCreekmore
finding
your inner self comes very often with age, realizing that this moment in time is all that really matters and the outside world is very often a sham.
The worst scenario is death and yet that is only a transitory thing, inner strength gives us calm and those who who can't find it for themselves often need a friend to help them along the way;. this is why we should be always be kind as we, the strong ones don't know what is happening in the lives of others.SL

is magic and reminds us of what life is really all about.Friends come and go in our lives but some things like birdsong and the beauty of the seasons are constant..they never leave us , hurt us or make us cry.. SL

My Review of
~*April Breath*~
by Littlesong
Sublime
thoughts sate the senses often more than reality. What could be more gentle than April breath to to waft over your soul and bring serenity.

My Review of Fragments by RamSlade
destiny
is not entirely of our making although i do believe we have choices along the way.

if it is true that the best die young then i have made some bad choices lol. We do what we think is right at the time and maybe regret it in hindsight.

There is a reason for everything Jerry and often we wonder why.. SL

My Review of Being By Myself by RamSlade
Solitude
i just love it Jerry, maybe because i was an only child of couldn't care less parents i grew up with it and learned the coping mechanisms lol.
I like to see my children and grandchildren , but i also enjoy the peace of my own company. I listen to the music of my choice, i paint and draw and write when i feel like it..think i would feel smothered now living with someone else after all these years... maybe it is selfish but i like doing my own thing after raising 2 families from 2 marriages SL

My Review of Keeping the Doors Closed by RamSlade
Old women
do much the same thing Jerry. It is fine to reminisce about young children in your arms and at the other end of the spectrum grandchildren in your arms but the space in between is often best kept at a distance where it can simmer quietly unnoticed ..SL

My Review of Lean Seasons by JohnCreekmore
"it is the way."
Yes John, this is what we have to accept, that we cannot rule nature it has its own way of doing things and knows best how to re-create time and again . No technology needed and the trees will be here long after we have burned ourselves out. Also i still maintain that trees have souls SL

My Review of Bind by SketerMichaels
The futility
of war is portrayed in such a few words, yet they ring home and paint such sad images .
If they were pictures on a canvas they would be potent towards the politicians who glorify killing as a means to an end.SL

thoughts portrayed here Kitty, so many people do not stop to be thankful for the wonderful gifts that live side by side with us, other smaller but sometimes more significant life that needs to be nurtured. SL

My Review of
Hold
by Littlesong
Some different
interpretations here , but once the poem has left the pen of the poet the reader is free to interpret them in his or her own way. Deliberate or not i like the middle verse being in a different font, it seems prayer-like and reverent that way whilst the first and last verses are about keeping love and faith both in reality and ethereal existence.

Memories
are made to be kept and treasured later on, but at t the time when we are young we just don't realize that we are making them and we live in the moment... that is why God gave us the gift to go back and enjoy it all again ♥ SL

My Review of Power by JohnCreekmore
it's an illusion
"Ye young and hungry," is the key word here for me John, as we mature we find that power is not all we thought it would be, it is often the hard face of enlarged egos that can, at extreme maim and kill, at best belittle more gentle souls and create cruelty where there should be love and understanding.
