The Truth is Out There |
I will just say this.
You are most certainly are who you are. What you believe in is entirely on what you want to believe in. It's not our place to judge others solely on what they believe in or not believe in. That is why this world is the way it is. Just as you said, "It is what it is".
For many of centuries, decades and what have you...people have fought to believe in what they believe in. Our forefathers have declared a nation that would be about democracy and Beliefs. That is why we went to war for our Independence in 1773. To fight what we believe in....a free country without government telling us how to behave.
There are reasons why we believe in what we believe in. Many may not approve or want to start wars all in the name of Religion. Some may just see it as some sideshow...where they can mock Jesus and God.
As for one, I do not mock them. I don't personally believe they exist. And, yes...that is what I believe in. Others may deny otherwise their premises. But I am not afraid to tell anyone what my beliefs are. Whether you agree or disagree.. At least, I do not hide behind the mask, and pretend to be someone else. I am who I am. And, for the most part. It is what it is.

Very good story, Ella.
And, not sure if this goes along with the story, but I will say it anyways.
It's hard these days, to help out the people who feel they really need help. Even though, in reality, they don't need help in the first place. They just want something in return, so they "act" like they are the victim. Then steal you blind.
I say this, because that happened to me many of times. I try to be the good samaritan. But when I try to "do the right thing". All I get in return is disrespect. As if I am somehow the enemy now. As if I just committed a crime, and will be sentenced to death by stoning. So, I really wonder, especially these days....just what is really the "right thing" to do when someone is in dire strait? When someone needs a helping hand. But then be turned to totally something else?
I just thought I mention this, since most of the story was based on trying to be the good samaritan. |

Hmmm....Interesting |
That is quite a poem I must say.
For we all have sinned in more than one way.
But all I can tell you,
I would not ever flee from the truth. |

My favorite line from your wonderous poem is:
"Turning into a storm that is meaningless
eyes spread wide to the view of emptiness
with only the sweet taste of loneliness "
it describes life as we know it...sometimes, whether we are aware of it or not. JMO |

Man, I love this poem! I believe that everyone should be themselves. There is no sense in this uncertain world, that anyone should try to or want to be, anyone else. It may take you places and stuff....but only for a brief time.
Life is short, and to go farther in places and be real....just be yourself. That will take you farther to places you want to go in life. Much farther than if you try to be someone else. JMO |
