You could never feel my pain...

Please read this prologue, I might be able to squeeze more than the prologue in, but my first chapter is sooo long and I don't have much time, so please critique what I have so far on this site.

Prologue

The evening's air was tainted with the scent of fresh blood. The sky gazed down upon the murderous being, who continued to slaughter the remaining army of men that had gathered to collect her priceless bounty. Bullets whizzed by her head by the hundreds, but none could mark her perfect face. Her gun-wielding opponents fell victims one by one to her venomous, black swords. The twin blades she held were laced with the poison of millions of snakes, forged with snake skins and the teeth of the legendary basilisk, and lastly, coated with the wielder's own blood, making the Mambass Black Blades the deadliest swords in existence, if used by the right person.
The wielder's face was known far and wide, but her name was unknown to all but herself, so her enemies, and soon everyone around, named the female, coldblooded killer...Misery.

Misery stepped closer to the leader of the mob that dared to attack her. He cowered behind a large stone, fearing the fate that had fell upon his comrades. The woman very soon was standing in front of him, her bright red eyes glowing in the new night's darkness, and her crimson hair draping down just past her shoulders. Misery had pale skin, and she wore dark clothing which made her look like a demented porcelain figure.
The man looked up to her, and begged for mercy, "Please, I'll do whatever you like...please, don't kill me. I-I-I Had nothing to do with the attack, I swear." He may have said this with the most truthful sound in his voice, but it was still an obvious lie, for just moments ago he was barking orders to his now dead men.
Misery's wicked eyes told him clearly, she did not believe is pathetic words.
"Please, my family. I have a wife and two boys. Th-They need me...to bring food to the table, we are poor, we need the money." he stuttered, making the story up as he went along.
There were no obvious signs but this too was a lie, although, Misery couldn't care less. She had no reason to care, his fate would be all the same. "What should I care about your family? You have just a few moments left, have you any final words before I end your meaningless existence?" Misery coldly answered to his pleads. The man had fear written all over his face, but he accepted what was to come, and put his hands together for a final prayer. Misery had no mercy, if she did, she wouldn't be so known for the murders she had committed and the misery she left behind.
The man prayed to his Lord, he prayed for his real family. A tear began to trickle down from his eye as one of the blades pierced his upper abdomen. "May your nonexistent God have mercy on you and your comrades." Misery slid the blade from the man's body and sheathed it. The man fell to the ground and slowly met his premature death.
Misery never wondered why she did such things, for she knew all would come clear soon enough. She did not know what made her think that all would come clear, but she knew it was true, deep in her cold, black, bleeding heart.

Time was almost up, Misery had to quickly return to her more known self, the artificial self that was created only to shield her true identity...

You could never feel my pain...

Episode One: Awakened

The alarm clock rang annoyingly early in the morning, but a hand quickly slapped it off, and the body it belonged to fell back into it's slumber on the vintage-styled, pink bed.
"Lady Saska, you have to wake up now." A well-dressed man lightly shook her awake.
"Five more minutes Gouze, please?" the newly awakened body spoke.
"Now, now, it is not healthy for you to sleep all day." Gouza lectured Saska, but she had already fallen back asleep, "Lady Saska!!!" this time with a little more tension in his voice.
"Alright, alright." she moaned,"Get outta here, I have to get dressed."
Gouza left the room politely, so Saska could change clothes in privacy.

Saska hopped out of her bed and opened up her wardrobe. She flicked through outfits untilshe got to a frilly, white dress. Saska stripped off her pink, silk pajamas and fitted on the white dress. She looked at herself in the mirror and smiled whil brushing her golden blonde hair, accenting her blue eyes. When she was done, she put on a pair of stockings and slipped on her fanciful white shoes, and a cute hat that matched the rest of the outfit. Saska opened the window beside her dresser and gazed out upon the vast blue sea, longing for the giant waves to sweep her away from the "real world". Despite her appearance, Lady Saska was actually rather bored with her rich lifestyle. She wanted to struggle at least a little in life like many others did, but she wanted more than anything, an adventure. Saska dreamed of romance and bloody battles. She was not the girl she was thought to be; she was, nonetheless, wild.
A swift knock on the door shattered her dreams and forced her back into the world she disliked so much.
"Yes?" called Saska, acting her sweet self again.
" Your breakfast is ready, my lady." Gauza answered, still trying to be polite of her privacy.
"I will be down in just a moment." Saska closed her window, latched it, and went down stairs to the kitchen. She sat in a cherry wood chair and began eating her breakfast of a half grapefruit sprinkled with just a few pinches of sugar.
"My lady, you look dazzling in any color, but even so, you look like a ghost when you wear so much white!" Gouza said, and soon regretted. It was true though, Saska had very pale skin, that almost matched her white dress. It was not as  though she were sick, she was born with it, and Saska didn't mind. In fact, she rather liked it. Whenever she wore frilly threads, it made her look like a doll, a perfect porcelain doll, with just perfect curves.
"I'm sorry, I was out of line with that comment." Gouza apologized.
"That's fine. I really don't mind," Saska smiled and dismissed her butlers remarks.

Saska rapidly finished her small breakfast, "So what have I got planned for today? I hope not much, today looks like a fine day to be outside."
"Today you get the pleasure of having tea with Mr. Broderick Chambers, head of the police force, then your parents have asked me to reserve lunch with you, and the rest of your day is free." Gouza was like Saska's personal organizer. He would always remeber any appointment she made, which was good because Saska could never remember all of the people she met. Gouza would constantly have to remind her who was who, except for her parents of course. Saska was never too close to her parents because their jobs always called for thier attention.
Even though she was only sixteen, she was rather mature, but Saska still needed Gouza to organize the majority of her social life.
"Very well, at what time is my meeting with Mr.Chambers?"
"We should be leaving shortly."

Gouza drove Saska to Broderick Chambers's mansion. It was much more extravagant than her own. It was made of brick, and trimmed hedges served as a fence. As Saska entered the gate, she passed a beautiful artesian fountain, sculpted in the form of three dolphins, each dolphin looked like mini-fountains themselves. She soon reached enormous French doors, but even with the beauty that lie on the outside, the inside was so much better.
Golden rimmed ceilings and marble floors peeked out as a formally dressed man, much like Gouza, opened the doors, which weren't as big as they seemed compared to the man.

"It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Lady Saska, my name is Ruke. Mr. Chambers is right this way."
Ruke lead Saska and Gouza to a dining hall, where a very solemn looking man wearing a navy blue outfit sat.

"Ah, Saska. I am so glad to see you again." Broderick greeted Saska, dismissing Gouza to the kitchen with Ruke.
Saska smiled and nodded, trying her best, without Gouza, to remember where they may have met before.

"Please do sit down, I have some new on the murderer known as Misery. You were interested in solving this certain case weren't you?"

"Ah, yes," Saska suddenly remembered how they met. They were at the police yard and they somehow began talking about the horrendous murders commited by the woman, Misery. Saska had been funding the police on this case because so many of the crimes happend within a two mile radius of her home. Funding was the only way to protect Saska, or so Gouza and her father thought.

"It seems there has been another battlefield between those worthless bounty hunters and Misery." Broderick started, "There still is no trace of who this woman really is, but the latest attack had been awfully close to your residence. Please, I beg of you, allow some of my men to act as protective detail."

"Oh please, this woman doesn't seem like she would be after me. I don't need any protection, I will be fine by myself. Also, if this "Misery" woman really wanted me dead, wouldn't I already be dead?" Saska reasoned.

"True, true, but still, perhaps Misery hadn't had the chance. Please." he pleaded.

"No, no I'll be fine."

The conversation continued on like this for quiet some time...

"Fine then, but if anything happens, please call me." Broderick finally surrendered.

"I will, you can be sure of it." Saska had gotten up to leave, "It is time for me to say goodbye now, my mother and father are expecting me shortly." She bowed politely.

"It has been a pleasure to see you again." Broderick lightly took her hand and kissed it, and Saska departed to visit with her overworked parents.
They arrive at the restaurant five minutes past noon, and Saska's parents were already seated at their table. The restaurant was what most people would call, high-end. It seemed like even the toilets were carved from gold, but that didn't matter to Saska. She hadn't ever been too fond of her parents since they never took the time to see her.

"Hello dear, it has been a long time since had a meal like this, together." Mrs. Kitocha greeted her daughter.

"Hello mother." she gave her mother a hug as her father stood up for his.

"Honey."

"Father." Saska sat down after giving her father a kiss on the cheek.

"Gouza." Mr. Kitocha firmly shook hands with the employee that seemed to be more of a father than he was.

"Sir"

Short greetings lasted only a few moments, until the waitress came.

"Can I get you anything to drink?"

All of the Kitocha family ordered water with the exception of Gouza, who was once again, dismissed after greetings.

"So what have you been up to lately?" Mrs. Kitocha asked this every time, of course, it had been just over two years since they last saw each other for more than a few minutes.

"Nothing much." Saska's artificial person had completely taken over at this moment. Her soft sweet smile covered up her hidden anger, and mild hostility.

"Oh, wellyou should do something more wi..."

The phone in the restaurant rang. "Mr. Kitocha? This phone call is for you." The waitress called.

"Excuse me family." A few minutes later her returned with a distressed look on his face, "They need us at the clinic, now."

"What happened?!" Mrs. Kitocha was fear-stricken.

"I'll tell you on the way." Mr. Kitocha grabbed hi coat and threw Mrs. Kitocha hers.

"I'm so sorry honey, it's an emergency." Mr. Kitocha almost left before he turned back to kiss his daughter on the forehead. Saska had no reaction to the act of love; this wasn't the first time something like this happened. Saska never had more than twenty minutes with her parents without one of their millions of careers getting in the way. Even at her birth, her father had to rush out. After a while, Saska just got used to it.

"No, that's fine. If it's an emergency, then there is nothing you can do about it." Saska weakly smiled as she lied.

"Tell Gouza to reserve next weekend!" Mr. Kitocha ran to work on his "emergency". Saska called Gouza as her parents left the restaurant doors swinging and decided to dine with him rather than alone. Gouza appeared in the doorway, rather embarrassed at being caught. He wasn't ever too far away.

"After this, the rest of your day is free, so do cheer up. What do you plan on doing for the rest of the day, Lady Saska?"

"I'm not upset," she smiled, "Hmm...I don't know, as long as it's outside. Maybe the beach or something." Saska didn't mention next weekend because, truthfully, she didn't want to waste anymore of her time.
After hearing Saska was going to the beach, Gouza sighed. He seemed sad all day, but he would never tell Saska his problems. Hidden behind his mental shield, Gouza knew what would happen today, he knew it every day of his life, and the lives before.
Gouza and Saska ate their lunches and got out of there as fast as they could, the shiny gold was beginning to give Saska a migraine.

The day passed quickly and it ended with Saska on the beach, watching the sunset. The beach had always been a good spot to relax at the end of a long day, so a lot of people came out. It was also close to where Saska lived, so Gouza didn't have to hang by her side as much, but even she didn't know he watched her from the balcony of her mansion.
Saska laid on her back, looking at the array of colors, set off by the golden sun.

"Quite the beautiful display of colors, isn't it?" A different voice startled Saska. She sat up, leaning on the palms of her hands to see a by a few years older than her. He had medium length, dark golden blond hair, that matched his dark, blue eyes. he had a pale-complexion, much like her own. Despite the heat, he was wearing a white T-shirt uder an unbuttoned top, and he wore dark jeans. He smiled and looked at Saska with a certain interest, but not the kind a boy would look at the new, "hot" girl. He seemed amused by her, like he knew her already, knew what she would do.
I feel like I met him before. Saska thought.

He laughed silently at her, how clueless she is. This day was bound to come, even Gouza, that worthless butler, knew this, and she hasn't even recovered the slightes of her true self's memories
"Who are you?" Saska said. By then he had sat down next to her on the sandy beach.

His eyes were closed and suddenly reopened to lock with her gaze, "Don't you remember me, my dearest little sister?" A glint of a dark evil flashed in his eyes. The entire Earth seemed to fade into darkness as though they were transported to a completely different world.

Saska was trembling, trying to control the unknown something inside, but it was much too powerful to be caged in her delicate barrier. Her blue eyes surrendered to bright red, and her blonde hair painted itself a bloody crimson.

"To...Toguro?!" she whispered in fear that turned abruptly into anger. A blade suddenly pierced her chest. Salty blood drizzled from her mouth; pain vibrated through her entire body. The barrier that Saska created sixteen years ago to keep her murderous side in, shattered. Her true self had finally emerged. A flash of black, Saska awakened in the arms of Toguro, in a darker dimension, as though a fissure opened up, and swallowed them whole.
Toguro's face brightened, still amused and sarcastic, "How sweet of you to remember your big brother! C'mon Saska, give me a hug!"

"NOT IN THIS LIFETIME!!!" Saska growled.

"Well, we're in the Underworld, so technically, the this lifetime you speak of, is over." Toguro put out his arms, almost as if he thought he was actually getting a hug, but then put them down, knowing he was going to get a mouthful.

"Grr....TOGURO!!!" Saska was fuming.

"Yes, keep that rage, it makes me so happy to see you like this." Toguro mused, " You know, things like Death are easy to fix for me, after all, I did get the Devil side of Father."
Saska was annoyed, she didn't like being reminded of the distribution of powers between Toguro and her. Toguro got Mother's powers of eternal life; literally, you could do anything to him and he wouldn't die. If you were to stab him through the chest with a blade, he'd laugh and say, "That tickled." If you were to rip his heart out, he would just grow a new one. If you were to drag him to hell, he would act like he was on vacation in Hawaii, but eternal life wasn't all he inherited. Toguro also got Father's gift of controlling and ressurrecting the dead. Saska, on the other hand, ddin'thave any powers other than constant reincarnation, but even when she is reincarnated, she has no recollection of her live before and of any powers she had discovered until death had come. Saska could also be in the Underworld without feeling pain but these were the things someone of her unknown kind would naturally have. saska was the screwed up thing between the Devil side of her father and the Goddess side of her mother. These parents were nothing like Mr. and Mrs. Kitocha. Mr. and Mrs. Kitocha were her human life birth parents, not her true birth parents though.

Saska hissed at the mention of the distribution, "Don't bring that up again, or I'll.."

"Or you'll what? You are nothing but a gifted human." Toguro knew this would spark anger in Saska but he didn't realise it hurt her as well. He never wants to hurt her. This wasn't because he loved Saska or anything, it was fear of the person that cherished Saska the most...Father. He didn't notice the emotional pain he inflicted on her until it was too late.

The ground below shook, almost in terror of the Great Beast emerging from beneath. A thick cloud of dust was pierced by the demon's bloody red eye. A wave of power blew away the dust, revealing a silver-scaled, Dragon God.

"How dare you speak to your sister in such manner!!! Apologize now!" the God boomed. Frightened, but still defiant, Toguro quickly bowed in apology to his sister.
"And you," the beast turned to Saska, "Watch your mouth and your temper!" The dragon was much easier on Saska, and Saska was much less afraid of her father than Toguro.
Why does father have to pick favorites? Toguro thought, but was too frightened to ask his father, so instead he blurted, "Daemon, please don't use that form, it frightens the demons."
Daemon eyed he son for calling him by his real name, but dismissed the common, minor error in his son's respect. Daemon calmed down and returned to his much used human form. His hair was platinum colored, the original color of both his children, and his eyes bright blue, too, the original color of his children's. Daemon wore a long white dress robe, which he only wore because it was comfortable.
Saska's eyes aimed toward the ground, unable to meet the gaze of her father. Within a moment, Daemon was holding Saska in his arms.

"Come now, you may look in my eyes, you are no less than your brother." he consoled her, for he knew everything she felt with just a glance.
Toguro's words bit at Saska. It was true, she was only human, nothing more, if not less due to her lack of human emotions. Saska had no right to even look upon a God, such as her father, Daemon's comforting did nothing.

"Humph," grunted Toguro, hiding his jealousy.

"Toguro, send your sister back up to the World of the Living." Daemon commanded.

"Wait," Saska said, almost looking up but then back to the ground, " Why did you awaken me in the first place?"

Remembering why he had come, Daemon explained to Saska, "The humans are beginning to suspect you, or they will start suspecting you, my dear, for the murders. I'm sure you remember what you have been doing," Daemon looked at Saska in a worried disappointment, " I know you are trying to relieve the bloodlust you hold within, but I fear you may come to a premature death if you keep up such sloppy work, I'm not awakening you only because you may be found out to be this "Misery" the humans have concieved form your actions, but also, so you can find another way to ease the bloodlust. I can tell from your eyes, the way you do this now is making you uncomfortable and sick. This is the only help I am giving you." Daemon's compassion for his daughter froze over, and he returned to his usual cold self, as he tossed her an amulet in the shape of a bleeding heart.

"What is this father?" Saska asked.

"Put it on, you will find out soon enough." Daemon bluntly answered, and with a wave of his arm, all went black for Saska.

The alarm clock annoyingly buzzed, stopping shortly after being swatted by a fragile woman's hand. Saska was already awake, and dressed in a similar outfit as the day before. Her golden waves flowed back past her shoulders, and her bright blue eys reflected back in the bleeding heart shaped amulet. Her mind was set on one thing now, survival. Disguising herself in the barrier form he created was the only way she could evade detection of people like Mr. Broderick Chambers. Saska was sure of herself, sure she would not get caught, even though she had no plan; but it was finally time her two selves merged into one, and it was time she learned a new way to relieve herself from this uncontrollable urge to kill. She must do this, without being caught.

It would be awesome to adapt this as a film noire comic book.

Is Misery black, or was that just my awesome imagination?

Sorry...Misery is white. On the weekend I will try to add the second and third episode. I call it episode because in my head it runs through as an anime.

You could never feel my pain...

Episode Two: Memories of Lives Past

Saska hadn't been able to sleep the night before. So many questions were swirling around in her head. Who were Mr. and Mrs. Kitocha really? What is this pendant she now held in her hand? Why must she contain such an uncontrollable bloodlust?

"Lady Saska?" Gouza called from beyond the door.

Gouza! Saska had completely forgotten about Gouza. He must know something. Memories flashed in Saska's mind, showing various images of a man named Gouza in her past lives. Along with fluttering images of past Gouzas, came a blood-covered nightmare that had never happened in her past.

Saska didn't realize she had fallen asleep, lost in a bloody wonderland. A darkness took over the sky, and the moon was possessed with Saska's bloodlust. Dead bodies covered the crimson Earth. The lifeless human's entrails had been torn out and ripped apart, along with the dissection of their hearts and brains. Many headless bodies lie around, their skulls been crushed by an immense power.

In the center of this massacre were two shadowy figures. One was a deep red painted Saska with but a small scar across her face that had long healed, the other figure was blurry; Saska could not depict who this person was, but she could hear their voice whispering desperately. This person was dying, and spoke their final words directed towards Saska.

"Don't let it control you..." whispered the unknown figure.

A split second later, another figure appeared behind the dying person. This figure was the same one who had murdered everyone else and had created this bloody mess. The new figure was just a shadow in the dark moonlight. The shadow laughed at Saska's horror-stricken face, and teasingly slit the dying one's throat.
Blood poured out of the wound, flowing closer and closer, slowly consuming Saska in it's fury.

"Lady Saska, are you all right!?" Gouza's voice shattered her nightmare. Saska's face turned paler than normal, and tears were drizzling down her partially closed eyes. She suddenly bolted up, screaming at a high pitch. As she was quickly jerked up, she unknowingly head butted Gouza in the forehead and jabbed her elbow into his side.

"Well, at least you are alive..." choked Gouza, dazed from the strong blows he endured.

Saska was frightened and didn't realize she was now digging her long nails into his thigh.

"Ouch! Saska that's painful!" Gouza wailed, tears beginning to appear in his eyes.

Just as Saska stopped screaming, her eyes rolled back into her head, and she fell unconscious.

"Oh dear..." the pained butler moaned, " I feel this is going to be a lot harder in life than after death."

There was a knock on the door at about seven in the morning. Ruke answered the door, knowing what was to be there. On the doorstep there was a paper bag, obviously filled with canine droppings, lit with a little spark of fire. Broderick had disciplined the three pranksters many times before for doing this, but they found no end in the humor of it. Broderick had been too easy on them, but Ruke wouldn't be so forgiving, especially when he was in such a grouchy mood.
Ruke kicked the paper bag to the bush where the three snickering pests were, showering them with smelly meteorites. They yelped in pain and disgust as they ran home, not to soon return.

"Damn kids..." muttered Ruke as he closed the doors behind him. Ruke had been bothered since yesterday morning, when Gouza had informed him that Saska would remember almost everything that night.
Ruke couldn't sleep, and he was sure Gouza couldn't either.

Shortly after the doors closed, Broderick appeared.

"Who was it?" he asked.

"No one, sir." Ruke answered back.

"Well then, if I have no visitors, then I would like to visit someone else today."

"Who might that be, sir?"

"Miss Lady Saska."

"Yes sir, should I go get the car?"

"That would be fine, thank you, Ruke."

Ruke bowed in respect of his kind master, and went to fetch the car.

-:skull:-

Memories raced through Saska's mind; flashbacks of lives past and images of moments yet to come, some memories blood-filled and horrifying, others calm and peaceful.
Many visions held memories of friends that she had and hadn't met in this life. About three in particular had the same names but different faces in each life, but only two Saska could definitely identify through her dreams.
Saska fell in and out of a dream with a milky skinned woman, with long black hair. She wore dark, old-Japanese-style clothing.
Blades were clashing all around her, yet she seemed calm and in peace. Samurai were sprinting back and forth into deadly battles on crimson-painted killing fields. To each samurai, his own animal blood brother; their blood flowed within each other, showing true partnership.
The milky white woman carried twin blades at her side that the infamous Misery was often known for using, The Mambass Black Blades. This was Saska in one of her past lives, her milky face spattered with the blood of her opponents, and curled around her neck was a black snake with red eyes. The serpent slithered from her body, and grew into a human with a familiar bleeding heart symbol on his cheek. Saska somehow remembered this man/snake's name; he was called Mamba.
Mamba's human form was a slender an in his mid-twenties with long, silky, black hair. His skin light, contrasting against the dark warrior's clothes he wore.
Another serpent slithered off Saska's body. This one's name was Bass. He too transformed into a man, but Bass was about ten years older than Mamba. Bass had spiky brown hair, and the bleeding heart symbol was on his arm. His skin was a light tan and his clothes were much like a mercenaries, which were almost the color of his deep brown snake scales.

These two were Mamba and Bass; the tow that had provided some of the most key ingredients to forge and venomize the Mambass Black Blades. Saska wielded these blades in honor of the serpent blood that flowed through her body, and in honor of her Snake brothers, who could take any form, even the form of Saska's present life mother and father.

The dream faded into a dark haze.

Ruke made Broderick his favorite breakfast of pancakes, bacon and eggs, before chauffeuring him to Lady Saska's. Ruke knew Saska would be unconscious, but he didn't know she wouldn't be dead. In every other like, Saska had regained her memories the second after she died, and would lose them the second before she was reincarnated into a new Saska in a different world or life. Ruke served Saska despite what her true parents said, so this information made him somewhat depressed.

"We will be at the Kitocha residence in about 45 minutes." Ruke informed Mr. Chambers.

"Thank Goodness, I can't wait to see her. I haven't stopped thinking about her since yesterday."

Ruke smiled, to think, that the head of the police force has fallen for the murderous Misery.

"What are you smirking about, Ruke? You never smile." Broderick noticed.

"Nothing, sir."

Ruke tried the longest route to the Kitocha's Mansion, but as Ruke feared, Broderick insisted upon going on one of his millions of shortcuts. They got there in less than fifteen minutes.

-:skull:-

Saska was still unconscious when there was a knock on the door. Gouza's got up from his spot next to Saska's bed to answer the door.

"Good afternoon!" Broderick greeted excitedly, "Is Saska available for brunch?"

"I am terribly sorry," Gouza was startled by Saska's early morning visit from Broderick Chambers and Ruke, "but Saska is not feeling well today."

"She looked fine yesterday, what seems to be the matter?" Broderick interrogated Gouza.

"She started feeling ill late last night. It must have been something in the food." Gouza reasoned.

"I see, well, do tell me when she is feeling better. I have something I wish to discuss with her." Broderick began to turn away, disappointed.

"Would you like me to take a message, Mr. Chambers?"

"No, this is more of a personal matter; and Gouza," Broderick cocked his head toward Saska's servant, "you may call me Broderick." He then turned back to leave.

"Yes, Mr. Cha...I mean Broderick." Gouza blushed at the honor.

Ruke was stilled worried but Gouza reassured him with a slight glance before they left.

-:skull:

Deep in the crevasses of the Earth, Daemon awoke from his short slumber. He emerged from his resting spot to see what had disturbed him. The demons above were in an uproar cheering something on.

"What the hell is going on up here?!" Daemon ferociously bellowed.

The roaring crowd of demons silenced themselves in the presence of their God.

"Ah, father, nothing, there was just a minor dispute between me and a few of the other demons." Toguro pointed out the remnants of demons scattered about.

"If you want to stay the Keeper of Hell, then keep the demons of Hell quiet!" Daemon was ornery from lack of sleep.

"Yes, of course father, by the way, could I speak to you alone?"

"Not until I am fully rested." Daemon turned his back to Toguro, heading to his resting spot.

"But father, I think now would be the perfect time."

"Is it important?" Daemon turned his head, just glancing at Toguro.

"Very much so, father." Toguro smirked slyly, holding a blade forged of the blood of angels behind his back.

"Fine then, what is it?" As Daemon turned to face Toguro, the Angel's Blood Blade pierced Daemon's chest; dark crimson blood flowed from the wound.

"I haven't got the power to kill a God such as yourself, yet," Toguro twisted the blade deeper into Daemon's body. "but this Angel's Blood Blade should remarkably weaken one of the Devil's side."

Daemon was shocked by his own son's betrayal. Toguro laughed as the weaker demons snapped at the defenseless Daemon. Unexpectedly, there was a large clap of thunder. and a woman appeared between Toguro and Daemon. She wore a yellow and white enchanting robe, matching her golden blonde hair. She had silvery eyes hat locked with the demented gaze of her son.

"Luminara! How sweet of you to witness my rebellion!" Toguro smiled, as the remnants of slayed demons behind them formed another blade. Toguro thrust the Demon's Blood Blade towards Luminara's chest. It would have pierced her heart if it were not for Daemon's body intercepting it's path.
Luminara slid the Angel and Demon's Blood Blades from Daemon's chest, but the effects still lingered. Daemon was powerless, but being a Devil-God, he could still survive the wounds he endured. The presence of the Demon's Blood Blade also affected Luminara's powers, but the blade never pierced her, therefore, she still had some of her Goddess powers.
Luminara gripped on to her injured lover and created a safe distance between them and their traitor son.

"How could...how...how dare you!!!" Luminara hissed.

Toguro only smiled at the situation, as though it was amusing.

"That's it Toguro! You have done many things in the past, but this is by far the worst! I have no choice, you are forbidden form the Underworld and Paradise!"

Toguro laughed at his mother's declaration. "I couldn't care less about Paradise, but look around you Luminara! It seems it is you who are forbidden from the Underworld!"

Toguro presented the milions of demons surrounding Luminara and Daemon, willing to attack them in their weakened state at any time. Luminara winced at the demons that outrageously outnumbered them.

She suddenly went blank; her eyes glazed over. The other side of Luminara was about to speak of the future. Toguro hushed the demons so all could hear what the Goddess of the Future had to say.

"You, who dare betray the Order, shall be condemned to eternal damnation!"

"Oh who would have thought, I would be condemned to Hell, I am the Keeper of it!" Toguro made his sarcastic remark.

"Do not make humor of the severity of the situation, for you shall fall soon enough!"

"Oh really, and how's that?" Toguro reacted to his piqued interest.

"You will fall at the hands of one individual. You taught her everything she knows, but as she prevails in her lives, her own destiny shall teach her how to defeat you!!!" The other side of Luminara preached.

"Who? Saska?" he laughed hysterically, " Saska is just a mere human, less than that even!"

"She is not human!" Luminara's other side was still speaking, "She is more than you know, she is a much greater being than you could ever imagine! Her powers will begin to come to her the moment she awakens. You would be a fool to underestimate her!" And with that, Luminara returned to normal. She blinked, unknowing as to what she said.

"Well then, maybe I won't let Saska awaken." Toguro laughed menacingly.

"You wouldn't dare Toguro!" Daemon choked on his own blood, still pouring out of his wounds.

"Just try and stop me, oh, that's right, you can't enter the World of the Living without my powers!" Toguro began to laugh again.

"You will pay for this, Toguro!" Luminara held tightly to Daemon and they both vanished, heading back to Paradise to inform The Order of Gods. Daemon told Luminara what she had said while the other side was out.

"All right you fiends," Toguro snarled at the rest of the demons, "Stay here and gather the strongest of all demons!"

The demons cheered, " All hail Toguro, King of the Underworld and the God of Death!"

Toguro smiled, and teleported himself to the World of the Living to have a visit with his dearest little sister.

Just to let you know -:skull:- means I am jumping to another character. I don't know why the skull doesn't appear in some of them, but they all mean the same thing.

Well, you have captured my curiosity!  I can't wait to find out why Misery is the way she is and exactly what she is.  I think it is a pretty clear piece of work.  Your descriptions are great.  Your dialog is also pretty good.  I only read your prolog, but will be reading more.  I promise.  I really think this is going somewhere, so you keep on it!  Glenn.  cool

You could never feel my pain...

Episode Three: Sibling Rivalry

Gouza held on to Saska's hand, checking her pulse every now and then to make sure she was still alive. Saska shifted in her slumber and murmered too softly for Gouza to hear what she said.

"Saska?" Gouza leaned down so his ear was next to her lips, "What was that, now?"

"Mmm...Ma...Mamba..." Saska moaned and fell back into a dead sleep.

"Well, I suppose." Gouza sighed and took the bell dangling off Saska's dresser. Mr. and Mrs. Kitocha, a.k.a Mamba and Bass, gave Saska this if they were ever needed. Of course, Saska never touched it, for she thought it was just a waste of time. Gouza held it and gave it three taps. Moments later, Mamba and Bass appeared by Saska's bedside in their snake forms.

"Gouza? You still use that form? Why don't you change back?" Mamba questioned.

"I'll return when it is safe to. I just had an unexpected visit from Broderick Chambers, and he would surely try to kill me if he were to see me in such a state."

"Broderick? Head of Police Force? He could be rather troublesome in the future, maybe we should kill him!" Bass eagerly suggested, "I haven't killed anyone for so long. It would be a sweet treat."

"No, Bass, we can't kill Broderick. Humans are already suspecting The Mistress of the Misery killings. Broderick's murder would also be blamed on The Mistress. Anyways, you had the chance to go hunting, why didn't you? You could have easily killled someone there and say it was a hunting accident or animal attack." Mamba disagreed.

"I was Mrs. Kitocha, sorry for trying to act like a woman in this day and age." Bass was annoyed by the fact that he had to play the role of a woman.

Both Gouza and Mamba tried to muffle their laughter, but they failed miserably.

"All right, all right," Gouza attempted to end the humor, " This is not why I called you over here."

"Well then, get on with it!" Bass hissed.

"Well, for one, Saska called for Mamba a few minutes ago..."

"WHAT?! What about me?! Are you sure she didn't say mama?"

"Isn't it sad you would react to that name?" Mamba snickered at Bass's jealousy.

"I am positive she said Mamba, but that's not the point. She spoke, that means she should be awakening soon."

"So? What does that have to do with us?" Mamba was much more calm than Bass, so he did most of talking.

"I have a bad gut feeling." Gouza was worried. Whenever he had a bad feeling, something bad would ALWAYS happen.

"Are you sure it's not gas?" Bass made a futile attemt at lightening the mood.

Gouza gave Bass an evil eye, "This isn't funny. I have a really bad feeling."

All of them felt the severity of the situation, but none could even imagine how to prepare for future events.

--

"If I am not out of line, what might you wish to discuss with Lady Saska." Ruke asked on their way back to the Chambers' Residence.
Broderick just smiled while gazing out of the window. IT was as though he were staring at the most beautiful angel in heaven.

"She is like a Goddess," Broderick was lost in his own wonderland until a dark figure appeared by his window when the car stopped. Broderick was pulled back into the wretched real world. He stepped out of the vehicle to speak to the stranger directly. "May I help you, sir?"

"Oh no, I am just heading to my family residence." The stranger was a boy in his early twenties, not too much older than Saska. He wore dark clothes despite the hot sun.

"Do you need a ride?" Broderick was fully willing to help the young man.

"I suppose you seem nice enough." The young man entered the vehicle.

Ruke was shocked to see a rather familiar face...Toguro.

--

"Why didn't you call for help?!" A man's yelling was directed towards Luminara.

"Like I said Seishire, I was very weak, I was almost unable to bring Daemon and myself back to Paradise." Luminara argued with a light-skinned man with long blue hair. His eyes were bright cerulean and he was dress like a Japanese warrior ready for battle. A bow and an arrow case was strapped to his back, much like Mamba's weapon.

"ENOUGH!" A man with flame red hair shouted above the arguing voices, "Daemon called this meeting of the Original Seven, Daemon, the God of the Worlds, Luminara, the Goddess of Paradise, Talakee, the God of Earth, Kraseen, the God of Wind, Saveeshenea, the Goddess of Love, Seishire, the God of Water, and I, Fireik, the God of Fire. The least we can do is be respectable before the Greatest God among us!"

"Thank you, Fireik." Daemon acknowledged the God of Fire, " We have a serious problem before us. My son, Toguro, has betrayed the Order of Gods, and has seized the Underworld. We are next to helpless against him, for he wields the Angel and Demon's Blood Blades, which have severely weakened even me. According to Suminara, a.k.a the other side of my dear Luminara, has foretold that the only one who can end this is my daughter, Saska."

"How can you say that? Saska has no powers whatsoever!" yelled an extremely buff man.

"Yes, for now, Talakee, but Suminara has said Saska has many powers, but they take time to awaken. I have even helped her unknowingly by giving her a pendent that will help control her bloodlust." Daemon explained to the God of Earth.

"But Daemon and I fear that Toguro is planning to kill Saska," Luminara interupted Daemon, "before she has a chance to fully develop. Fortunately, Mamba, Bass, Gouza, and even Ruke are by her side in the World of the Living. They should be able to ward off Toguro this first time, but in the meantime, we need to find of create someone stronger that can keep our savior alive. Daemon and I are using Onay's powers to find this person." Beside Luminara was a little white snake with bright red eyes. The white serpent was searching every world to find the one who can protect Saska.

"But we can't just sit here and do absolutely nothing!" shouted a usually shy man, "Saska could die at any moment!"

" I feel your frustration, Kraseen, she is my own daughter, but there is nothing we can do. None of us can enter the World of the Living." Daemon apologized.
Kraseen sunk back into silence. All was quiet for a while, but the silence ended when Luminara went blank and her eyes glazed over.

"Suminara?! Please, speak!" Daemon stared at the Goddess of the Future, who was not considered part of the Original Seven.

"I cannot help you get to the World of the Living, but I can tell you who you are looking for, the only one who can protect Saska."

"Yes, any help will do!"

"His name be familiar to some of you.... he is the one called, Ryazaki Nokiyo." Suminara then faded back into Luminara.

"That name, I have heard that name before..." Saveeshenea tried desperately to remember who it was, while twirling her extravagantly long, pinkish red hair. " The Messanger of the Underworld! Yes, his name is Ryazaki Nokiyo!"

"We must contact Gouza!" Daemon pointed this remark to Onay.

"Allow me." the white serpent disappeared to enter the World of the Living, which often took hours.

--

Saska mumbled in her sleep, and Bass took his human form to try and hear what she said, " Say that again, Saska..." he crossed his fingers.

"Ba...Bass..."

"YESSS!!!" he loudly whispered his victory.

"So mature of you Bass," Mamba had taken his human form before Bass and was now sipping a cup of tea, "And only a few hours later than when my name was called."

"Don't ruin my moment!!!" Bass shouted. He covered his mouth, realizing how loud he was.

Saska turned over on her side and sleep talked loud enough for all to hear, "Oh Mamba.....Bass is soooo...."

"Yes?" Bass whispered eagerly.

"So weak...." Saska finished her sentence and fell back into her deep slumber.

"No!!! She killed my moment!" Bass fell to the ground, devastated.

Mamba and Gouza both laughed wildly, but they soon silenced when there was a loud knock on the door downstairs.

"I'll get that." Gouza lifted himself from the chair.

--

How nice of Ruke to drop me off a few blocks from the Kitocha Residence, and that Broderick Chambers was off in a dreamland thinking about my sister. Toguro felt a spark of anger, but shut it out as the large door he stood in front of opened. Behind the door was a formally dressed man.

"Gouza! I haven't seen you in so long!" Toguro exclaimed and insisted upon a hug.

"Master Toguro! I wasn't expecting you! Saska is..." Gouza began.

"I know." Toguro gave Gouza a sly smile and snapped his fingers. A hidden serpent demon entangled itself with Gouza, covering his mouth so Gouza couldn't breathe nor make a sound. "Hush, hush. I wouldn't want you to wake my sister up."
Toguro climbed up the stairs and faced the door engraved with the words "Saska M. Kitocha"
"Hah, what a joke." Toguro said to himself.
Beyond the door, Mamba and Bass were already on guard, having heard the ruckus downstairs. Mamba had his bow out and an arrow was already resting in it, Bass had his hand by his side, ready to use his blade at any moment.
Toguro pushed open the door. Mamba's arrow went flying towards Toguro, but he easily dodged it. Bass lunged at Toguro, his blade aiming for the neck. Toguro darted out of the way, grabbed Bass's arm, and threw him downstairs with Gouza.
Gouza saw Bass fly down the stairs. He was knocked unconscious. Gouza was on the verge of fainting from lack of oxygen when he decided to transform back into his original, more useful self. His fingers and toes elongated, and his teeth sharpened. Gouza's hair lengthened and formed spikes on his newly scaled skin. He bit deep into the serpentine demon, letting it's blood flow into his mouth. The demon screeched and released Gouza's body, allowing him more room to convert.
Back upstairs, Toguro kept easily dodging Mamba's fast arrows until he ran out. Mamba decided to use his fists. Toguro caught the first punch and threw him downstairs with the transforming butler and the unconscious human snake. Mamba watched Gouza turn into a lizardman like creature.

"Good idea," Mamba shook Bass awake, "You ready?"

Bass blinked, "Oh...yeah."

They both ran back up the stairs into Saska's room to see Toguro standing over her bed. Toguro looked at them and snapped his fingers. A barricade of demons emerged from the depths of Hell. Mamba and Bass returned to their larger snake forms. Mamba hissed sending toxic gases seeping from his mouth. Toguro paid no attention to the poison he was immune to, he only cared about his sister's death. He leaned over the bed, and unsheathed both the Angel's and Demon's Blood Blades.

Down below, Gouza warded off demons that kept appearing no matter how many he killed. He finally had enough of slashing and biting and decided to end it much more quickly. Gouza inhaled deeply, and exhaled black flames. All of the demons around him burned into crimson ashes, but despite his effort, more demons appeared.
Mamba and Bass were in a similar situation, being pushed to the lower floor by the force of the fiends. Bass flicked his tail and sent millions of sharp scales toward his oponents, taking out many of the demons, yet more demons surfaced.

"Where is Saska?" Gouza was slashing about once again.

Mamba and Bass both gave him the same hopeless look.

"NO!" Gouza bellowed, a tear falling from his dragon like eye.

Toguro heard the sounds from below and smiled, satisfied. The anger, hatred, and desperation radiated form all three of Saska's comrades made him even more powerful. He turned his head to the door, watching, as Mamba and Bass hopelessly gave in to the demons. Gouza still fought, but gave in a few moments later, tears raining from all three of their eyes. Toguro lifted his twin blades and returned to finish off his dear little sister.

"What?!" Toguro stared at the EMPTY bed in disbelief.

"TOGURO!!!"

He heard a fierce female voice and turned to the body of which it came from only to be met with a sharp pain as one of the Mambass Black Blades sliced deep into his chest. Toguro stepped back a few steps and looked into his sister's red eyes that matched the blood flowing from his body. Her face had strange markings that spread over her entire body and ended at a bleeding heart shape on her back. The similar bleeding heart pendent around her neck glowed radiantly, centering all of her demonic energy into her chest.
For once, Saska could control that lust that raged within her body, the fiend that endlessly attempted to escape it's human vessel.

"What the hell?!" Toguro was startled at the demonic pressure his sister emanated.

Saska focused her power and made a single flick of her wrist to release it all. An extreme amoount of energy struck Toguro with immenst force. He was sent flying out the window above the entrance doors. All of the demons hit by the pressure disintegrated and the rest fled back to the Underworld.
Gouza, Mamba, and Bass weren't severly injured, but they all converted back to their human forms in the commotion.
"Please forgive us, " They begged, kneeling down before the Demoness.

"Don't you...." Saska started to cry, the marks on her face disappeared, and the pendent stopped glowing, "Don't you ever give up on your life, ever again!" Saska fell to the ground, weakened, but was caught by Mamba and Bass.

Toguro lifted himself up from the ground and limped back into the Kitocha Residence. The poison from the Mambass Black Blades was much more lethal than just Mamba's toxins; it spread much faster through his body, too. Toguro could endure the venom much longer than a normal human could.

Saska lifted her head to meet Toguro's gaze.

"This won't be the end, Saska, " Toguro gasped, he was losing his breath.

"I saw it all Toguro, in one of my dreams...what you did to father. " Saska was just as weakened as Toguro, "If you go back to the Underworld now, you will survive your injury."

"Hmph, I will kill you one day, before you even have the chance to ruin my plans, for I am the God of Death, and you are a mere human." Toguro declared war against Saska. He then vanished, returning to the Underworld for medical treatment.

"No....Toguro, you are wrong, " Saska collapsed. Mamba and Bass not-so-gracefully hauled her back up to her bed, where they collapsed themselves. Gouza took care of them and any housing damages by calling a few personal friends. He also called Ruke to ensure him of Saska's condition.

"I know you are hiding up there, Onay." Gouza looked up on the rail of the battered stairs.

"Will you be all right, Gouza?" Onay converted into her human form, but her bright red snake eyes still remained.

"Yes, I will be fine. You should go back and report to The Order."

"I will, but I have come here to give you two messages The first message was of Toguro's betrayal , although, I see you have already discovered that."

"Yes....continue."

"Second, we have found a new, important guardian for Saska."

"And who might that be?"

"His name is Ryazaki Nokiyo, he is the Messanger of the Underworld, we believe he is still in the Underworld. We need Saska to retrieve him."

"Why would we go to all that trouble intruding on Toguro's new kingdom? Can't we find someone else?"

"I suppose we could, but Suminara said that Ryazaki is the only one who can keep  Saska alive."

"If Suminara said so, then I have no choice but to agree, especially if it is for Lady Saska's life. Maybe if we waited to see what the pendent will do, and if I can train her a bit...."

"We can't be sure she will live that long, Gouza."

"I see. Will Mamba and Bass be accompanying us?"

"That would be best, but Ruke will have to stay and monitor Broderick Chambers for the time being."

"Very well, I will talk to Saska about it, but we will have to train her a little before we set off into the Underworld."

"I am sure that would be best. Well, I must get going now. Daemon will get worried if I am late."

"Goodbye, Onay, and could you try to find a more specific location on where this Ryazaki Nokiyo might be? The Underworld is a big place you know."

"I will do my best, farewell, Gouza."

Onay left the mansion and Gouza went back to mending things before he got another unexpected visit.

--

Caged up demons hissed all around the dungeons, "This is where the traitors are kept. Those who do not follow Lord Toguro will rot within these walls!" shouted a large fiend to a man-demon in the center of the chamber. The man-demon paid no attention to these words. He still believed in Daemon, and even his powerless daughter Saska. The man-demon stretched out his dark wings. There were special holes in his grim reaper robe for his wings. His skin was eroded and pale, his face was never seen, for it was said to be too frightening, even for the Underworld. Another demon was in the same chamber as him.

"Maybe we should follow Togure, he did show some pretty immenst power, what do you think? Huh? Ryazaki Nokiyo?"

All right, any  you see is once again, a jump to another character. You see, I post these on many different sites and it gets really annoying trying to center all the things, and change all the pictures and well, all that other stuff that's different from every other site. Sorry, but I'm lazy.
