A suggestion i thought about that may not be considered:

I was wondering why doesn't the Writers-Network have favorites? I know its a useless number that doesn't mean anything outside of the computer and outside of this site, but i think its best to have considering i might want to go back to a certain  poem that was published.

I believe that if you review a writing on here you can view it and possibly go back, but for some strange reason i can't seem to find it. And if that does exist and if going back to the stories/poems you've reviewed is the purpose of that then i think WN should add favorites as well. I see no real harm in having them both. Then again might be wrong.

Just a thought.
Thanks for reading/commenting.

I know if you go back to your page you can click on the word comment(or was it review) and view all of your comments you've left on pieces of writing. Plus you can become a fan of a person and then go to their site and find the poem or story again.  that's all I can think of though

 ??? idk

i still think there should be favorites. What if the person has a lot of poems and stories to sort through and yo don't want to go through them and or can't comment for whatever reasons, keyboard is messed up, for instance lol. But idk i just think it would be helpful, maybe i'm wrong.

But i knew that option was on here, thanks for the help.

This mind of ours is a crazy place...

Post this on the feature request boards and I'm sure W-N staff will take it into consideration. This is an awesome idea.

Unread works viewed many times, but never critiqued.  Most are very long and poorly written, grammatically, but the potency factor of the works are exceptional. Most are written late-night indicating some disorder or stresses affecting the writer, and if under duress, a writer 'puts it all out there' leaving pretentiousness for non-literary interactions- tears and fear are felt through the words unintended to convey the writers feelings but bleed through into his/her characters.  Hey all writers do it...late night inspiration unrestrained by fatigue and mood swing... say "you" don't do it, you're either a lair, or purely a reader.  A-rat-a-tat-tat  smile

ok yeah i'm sure i do it, everyone probably has done it once or twice in their writing, but what does this have to do with the topic?

I don't mind ppl going off topic but i really don't know where this conversation came from or how you got this from the thread in the first place. I'm not trying to be a douche or anything i'm just trying to understand.

Hello, are you referring to the top writers and top writing pieces on this site?  If you are, we do have that.
If you scroll down to the bottom of any page on this site you will see a bunch of links.  If you are interested in seeing who the top performers are on this site, you would click on the "TOP MOVERS AND SHAKERS" link.  It is not in all capitals, I just wanted to make sure that it stood out.
When you click that link it will let you check out who ranks top.

I hope that has helped you.

Nah i don't think we're talking about the same thing. I mean that you view any poem or writing and somewhere on that page you should be able to fave the writing of that person, no matter what. But its just a suggestion, i'm sure it doesn't exist on this site yet at least not the way i believe it should be.

Just like views there should be a counter of how many faves that one poem/story has, and the ones that you have faved should go to a certain place in your account in which you can view them and possibly read them over if you wanted.

It's like i know you can become their fans or whatever, but idk what if just one poem is your all time favorite and the rest isn't... just a thought...

Thought the thread was Favorite on WN, as in:  What is your favorite site/thread on WN?  Which in itself, would be a fun thread for a short time.  Try bookmarking the page you want to re-visit.  Instant access.   smile

that could work for a moment i suppose, but might get deleted in accordance to all the art reference and videos i tend to bookmark. I just think it would be neat and more orderly if it was already on the site, that way i wouldn't have to do that, to make it even more orderly should make folders for certain ones and we are able to label them.

Why do we have hearts when they break so easily?

Maybe you should suggest this idea to the administration.  I think it is wonderful thought.

Death... We all know of it, yet we all fear its aura.  It leaves behind a lingering odor and commotion of emotions we wish not to organize. Some wish to shy away, yet we all end up meeting it someday.  Some open their arms gratefully when that day comes... I wish to be one of those people.
