put the clever here

Sorry I can't think of a more clever way to say, I am new here, so I will just say it. Sometimes simple works best.
So hello, I am new here.

I don't really have any examples of anything I have written as of yet, but I am working on something much longer than anything I've ever written so there may be examples later.

More about me:
I'm 27, from Dallas, joined the army six years back, went to Kuwait in 08, have been writing since I was around 8 years old, not married, plan on going to film school, no felonies, no warrants, no tattoos, interested in all kinds of writing formats I guess, fan of Poe, H.P. Lovecraft, Chuck Palahniuk, Mark Z. Danielewski, Charlie Kaufman, Brian K. Vaughn.

Favorite movies:
Children of Men, Fight Club, Memento, Shawshank Redemption, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, just about any Buster Keaton, Oldboy, Lady Vengeance,

Favorite TV:
Arrested Development, Simpsons, Futurama, House, Penn and Teller's Bullshit, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo,

Favorite books:
House of Leaves, Survivor, Y: The Last Man

Favorite music: ISIS, Clutch, Aphex Twin, Kow Otani, Red Sparrows, Pelican, Melvins, Plaid, Yndi Halda, 27

That's about all for now, I guess.

Dude Cowboy Bebop is so boring. Bleach and the new Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood are so much better.

Cowboy Beebop was good, though not my favorite show. The ending was sad... yet touching. Samurai Champloo confused me at the end, but it was fairly good too.

Oh, by the way, Welcome to the site  :green:

I do have a question, and since you're a Poe fan you might remember the answer. Did Poe die on January 19th or was he born on the 19th, I can never remember which one it is.

To be honest I've only read a few things of Poe. I really like his style, but I don't know much about him.

I have an audio file on my zune of Christopher Walken reading the Raven, which is just about the most awesome thing ever.

That does sound pretty cool, I bet it'd be cooler if I had any idea who Christopher Walken was though.

Ouch, dude. If that was directed to me, not nice. I've tried watching it, proof enough, and I've been watching Bleach since it first started on Adult Swim, same with the new FMA. Instead of calling me a troll tell me what's so great about Cowboy Bebop.

Well they did have some good humor, and Spike was an interesting hero for the series. I think it's all just a matter of taste though.
