This mind of ours is a crazy place...

Hey there, my name is Beeh and... well I've just joined (obviously). I do have to say though, this place seems pretty amazing already. I love the portfolio aspect of it, as well as the forum. I was looking for a decent forum and found you guys so I guess the portfolio business is a bonus. Anyways, I guess I should tell you a little bit about myself, eh? Okay then. I am almost eighteen (April 12th is my lucky day) and in grade eleven (I dropped grade ten a few years ago and had to redo it) but it doesn't bother me much. I am Canadian!

Okay, I'm an avid role player but started writing at age eight, I simply love creating worlds and all that good stuff. Now, I've been meaning to write and finish a novel or at least something close to it for a while now but my short attention span prohibits me from doing so. That is the reason I like role playing (which I've been doing for a good seven or eight years now).

I will read anything I can get my hands on and understand, really. Any genre finds a way to capture me and suck me into the story. My favourite book (to date) would have to be The Letter by Richard Paul Evans. My favourite poem (to date) would have to be The Raven by Edgar Allen Poe. My favourite authors are Stephen King, Anne Rice, Richard Laymon, V.C. Andrews, Herman Melville, Dean Koontz and J.K. Rowling to name a few.

Uhm, well yeah. That's all I can think to say right now. If you have any questions, or would like to talk to me drop me a line. I don't bite, really. I enjoy meeting new people and discussing anything and everything under the sun.

Oh you definitely should check Canada out. It's such a beautiful country.

Next year my mother and I are going backpacking around Australia as a graduation present.

Wow, we've got more of a welcoming community these days than we used to. Welcome to The Writer's Network. I'm glad you're enjoying yourself here. We've got a family friend who lives in Canada... and one time while he was visiting I found out that Canadian food is pretty much exactly like American food  My family still hasn't let me live that one down.

I've got a personal favor/recommendation for you, since you love Role-playing. I've been interested in it for years, even though I've never actually been able to game, so I started a Role-play on this forum. You can check it out and maybe join, I'd love having someone experienced to help us, though we're finally picking the story back up  :green:

Okay, here's the link to the thread. I've been telling people they can do whatever they want for a character, it's a sci-fi setting by the way, however since we've moved far enough into it It would be great if you could match it up so you're character makes sense when they appear. Also this should take you to the first page where we kind of laid out some groundwork, but we're on page 20 at the moment. If you want a brief overview of the story I'd be glad o PM it to you.

Awesome. I'd love it if you could PM me some details, yeah. Coming in this late in the game is somewhat of a disadvantage, obviously, but I think I could catch up easily enough.

Well, really it's more collective storytelling than a game. I think you'll get a better picture as we go further. But people keep dropping out for extended periods for personal reasons so we've had some rough spots.

Oh yeah. I bet. Stil, as much as I'd love to read through 20 pages of posts... I just don't have that kind of time. So if you could PM me a brief setting/plot/event time line and a quick run-down of the characters involved, it would be greatly appreciated. XD

Hi, my name is Timmie.  It is very nice to meet you.  Welcome!
I would say more, but I see my precious little Chaosmancer has already done it.
What he has not done though is suggest that everyone read his stories.
I am probably one of his number one fans and I wouldn't be Timmie if I didn't invite everyone to check out the stories that I am so addicted to.  LOL

You will love them I know I do!

Take care, Timmie

For your information Timmie, she has read one of my stories. My remake and continuation of "The Demon of Falkner Mansion", the piece I did for Dom's Colorful Haunting" challenge. I've retitled it "The Order of the Silver Flame". That's why I didn't mention them to her, on top of the fact that I never thought to mention them to her

I was thinking of mention you check out some of the other though beeh, your comments have been very good and I'd love to get your take on some of my other work.

Hahahaa thanks, Timmie. It's a pleasure to meet you. And yes, I'm a big fan of Chaos' stuff as well, though I've only read one of his collections (as he said above.)

I plan to read some more of your stuff soon Chaos, you're an excellent author and it's quite fun reading you. XD
