She held grace like no other
A statuette
Hair, draped down, touched the surface of my waters
Long robe, soaked at the hems
She shined without the gems of night
Eyes, staring to a far off place where I wished to follow
Conceivably where she belonged
Her, essence of everything that should be
Like the women from the ancients of Mythology, the readings of my youth
Tilí this day, even in my sightless weltered age, I still see her

Author Notes
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's not as good as I origanally imagined it. sad Although I still love the idea nontheless so I posted it anyway.  I might eventually do a rewrite? :reading:

Once, you said you loved me, once, I did, too.
But you never understood, I'm a liar just like you.

What a wonderful and powerful woman she must have been to stay in your memory so.   If only all women had someone to immortalize them in such a way.

May I offer this spacing and editing suggestion? If you don't like it, that's okay. I just had a different feel. I like this a lot.

She held grace
like no other

A statuette

Hair, draped down,
touched the surface
of my waters

Long robe,
soaked

at the hems

She shined without
the gems of night

Eyes, staring
to a far off place
where I wished

to follow

where she
belonged

essence of
everything

that should be
Like women from
Mythology

readings of my youth

I still see her

Beauty is possibilty; hope and distant dreams that span the ages all captured in a lovingly shaped piece of lifeless stone. From carnal fingers spring life and light. This is what your poem said to me thank you Ray.
