I am relatively new to this site. I joined about two months ago but have only been active for about two weeks. Basically I want to meet some new people and have interesting conversations about poetry and writing. So the question is...

What poet/author has inspired your work?

There can be multiple answers, I'm just interested in hearing your answers and maybe even learning about a few writers I don't about. I'm interested in having an ongoing discussion about this, so yeah.

Note: The answer CANNOT be Stephanie Meyer. That is all.

I think it's like that for everyone a little. Like draining a cyst. You've got to get the words out...

Honestly no one got me into writing but myself, but I do look to other authors to draw some inspiration. Poets like rumi and writers like Shakespeare and Stephen king, along with others, give me inspiration to write, they also show me different ways at looking at the world.

My first thought out poem was about a black Labrador, but honestly a lot of things send me into writing, the world inspired me, with it's art and literature, awsell as with it's nature, pain, and death.
