Trying something new?
I've never been one for writing poetry... always been into writing stories. But I'm tempted to do something within poetry. Is it worth me doing it? Any tips?

Re: Trying something new?
If you want to write it it is always worth it. The worst that can happen is you decide not to do it again.
As for advice... I'm not much of a poetry writer myself, but most of my stuff comes either from really emotional events or are about scenes and ideas I'm very passionate about. Poems for me are all about the emotions and images. Also, though you probably already know this, you don't need to rhyme if you don't want to you just have to make sure that the poem sounds good and flows well when you read it.

If you're asking the question then that generally means it's worth doing.
Give it a go, playing with the rhythm of words is interesting.
