I Will Never Stop Wishing on Stars

Hey everyone. I'm more of a prose writer but I gave poetry a shot the other day. Please comment  smile Thanks!

We used to walk through the castle,
Hiding from the witch.
We used to take all of the figurines out of their cabinet,
Making a parade.
We used to play shoe store,
Finding my perfect fit.
We used to go to the zoo,
Putting our noses together to look like the owls.
We used to go down to the train,
Getting candy from the conductor.
We used to read Highlights,
Finding the hidden pictures.
Now, those things we used to do,
Are all that I have.
Memories.
Memories I have from before I held your hand in the hospital,
Reminding you of all we used to do.

Hello my name is Timmie.  This is the first piece of your writing that I have gotten the opportunity to read.  Thank you for sharing.
What a lovely and very sad piece of writing you have created.
Clap Clap to you.

You should not give up on the poetry, you are pretty good at it dear.
