Good evening my fellow citizens of the world,

Given the abhorrent state of affairs currently besieging society from all sides it is time to take pen to paper and words to deeds. In a world gone mad, it is left to the free thinkers, the non conformists, and the enlightened few to blaze a new path for humanity. And who I ask you is more freethinking, non conformist and enlightened than writers?

In that spirit the next writing challenge, will be one of prose.

It is the “for the betterment of all mankind” challenge.

The challenge requires that you write your ideas for reshaping a better world. It should be written in the form of a speech. Imagine you are standing in front of the United Nations, and you had a chance to lay out the future, that is the spirit of the challenge. You should envision yourself as a leader of the world, if it helps to think of yourself as a Prime Minister or President then certainly you can take it from that angle. Hell if you envision yourself as a Leader of the “New World Order”. You can take it from there as well.

Be Creative, be thorough, but above all be true to your beliefs. Give us all the roadmap out of this mess and the rallying cries for the betterment of all mankind.

The posting date for this challenge will be the 18th of December. After 1:00 pm US central Time. (We are trying to get three challenges in for December so sorry for the short turn around time)

Please title your piece “For the betterment of all Mankind”. As always the request that we make is that you review all of your fellow participants works.

If you plan to participate please message me or ThePriestess to let us know.

This is our first pure Prose challenge. The response has been very good so I expect it will be a great one. Too much talent on here for it to be anything else really.

We will have a very short turn around 3rd December challenge coming up as well. this one is from the mind of Amadamic by way of ethicalbabe. I will post details on Friday but the idea is to simply write an honest piece about family and Christmas, no holds barred.

Uh oh, Why do I have a feeling Timmie might be doing something naughty with this poem. Remember goodwill towards men... even if they don't deserve it

I do believe the speech contest is over, though if you want to make a piece based on the idea you are more than welcome to. I think Dom wants us to do poems about Christmas and Family at the moment.

No comment from me on the subject.  I will do what my mother tells me to do when I have nothing nice to say.  =)

I am curious as to how a member is going to participate in the writing challenges that you and I do Dom when they have me blocked.
