The Finalists:

StonedPiggies
The crescent moon
Night light
Suspended in the
Black, grim sky.
Shedding relief
On the blind meadows
And spooky churches. The
Children scream a golden terror, for
When the familiar is darkened,
Halloween is come.

JonLondon
Tonight is Halloween
A time when the dead are again to be seen.
Grim faced witches and spooky looking ghosts
waiting at doorsteps for a charitable host.
The night ablaze, with pumpkins aglow
Werewolves and vampires..Marilyn Monroe?

milligan
Vivid visions of a Halloween past,
imagination caught in a sticky web,
ghoulish or simply spooky foolish,
monsters hidden beneath the bed,
demonic night of the living dead,
strangers hidden behind doors,
the grim reaper, a soul keeper,
dreadfully scary dreams,
haunting me it seems,
Halloween

ccice
Spooky and melancholy night,
A Halloween of hysterics.
Children frolic in youth's delight,
In constumes of man's generics.

The witch's broom,
The crescent moon,
The vampires at my door.
"Trick or treat"
A saddened retreat,
The confections are no more.

QuixoteCoyote
I am here in the night.
You try to forget you are an animal.
But I remember.
You are wild but pretend to be tamed.
Does it feel spooky?
You can't hold the pretense forever.
Does it feel grim?
You embrace your self tonight.
I am Halloween.
