Self Publishing Options - Going Further Many poets and writers have already discovered the beautiful world of self-publishing! Its no secret that millions of authors get turned down everyday but does that mean they are not good enough? Even the author of Harry Potter was rejected by several publishing companies which clearly proves that in this business, dedication and persistence is key! You will hear many No's before you hear your Yes. In the meantime, there are tons of other options for writers who just 'know' they have what it takes and cannot afford to wait for a publisher to 'get on the boat' with them. Poetry Self-Publishing allows you to realize that vision and skip the middle man entirely! There are many companies that now offer completely automated systems that allow you to turn your work into a book with just the click of your mouse. We do not recommend companies that charge you to publish your own work (however they go about doing this) as you should never have to pay for something like this if your work is of quality. A good self-publishing company will not charge your any fees to publish your poetry or novel - the idea is for your book to be printed on demand. Each time your book is sold, a copy is printed... you get your commission and the company keeps their cut. Its a win-win situation. Getting started is easy and simply depends on finding the right print on demand publishing company to publish your poems and stories. We have provided a list of our personal favorites and some additional resources that may be useful. LuLu.com: Self-Publishing / Print on demand publisher Want more information on poetry publishing?
